I'm very lucky with my interest in the land as my father has some serious machinery that I can sometimes use, this weekend was one of those lucky times!
My dad has a machinery business and hires out these Robocuts around the country. On his way back from picking it up on Saturday he called by to see his grandkids and to tackle my over grown orchard. It could have been trimmed by a tractor & topper and then tided up with a strimmer but this would have been much more work. The machine is really movable and can get tight into the trees, all that was left standing by them I pulled out by hand!
Another real advantage is that the machine completely mulches what it cuts rather than cutting it like a hay crop, so it'll soon be taken back into the ground and not kill off the grass.
Really impressed with the job it did and how tidy it all looks now.
