Hey thanks for the great video. I have a question, do you put any chemicals in the clean water? I thought there was something in the extras to put in but there is nothing. The instructions I read said to just put something from the roborock brand.
I have been using one for over a month now, and it's meh at best. Yes it vacuums and cleans well, in ideal condition. However, I have major pain points in my daily use : - Emptying the dustbin fails most of the time ! I have a fairly large cleaning area (the robot says 190m square) and use it daily. But still, I now have it setup to go the station after every room and even then it fails to empty its dust bin. It's just poorly designed and I'm already tired of going to the dock to unstuck it - The app is a pain to use if you have more than 1 floor. Really it's not meant for that AT ALL - The app is often slow or unresponsive when you try to load a map. And even the map you just had selected has to reloaded each time you want to control the robot. I often have to try 2 or 3 times - There is a 5-10cm area along the walls that it just won't clean. It cannot reach it, another major design flaw imo
After doing extensive research before purchase, it seems that at least some of the issues are issues across the gamut of robo vacuum/mops, especially the ones in this price range. I did find a robo vac/mop that will supposedly get corners and edges better, but the price point was over $2k versus the purchase of this model for $650. The company with the $2k+ product had tons of complaints about the software and I got the impression that the product was released without full testing of software and basically relying on the customers to beta test and then clean up the software. These products have improved a lot in the past 5+ years. So I'm guessing that maybe in another 5 years or so, maybe more models will do a better job getting corners and edges and the price to do so may drop. I guess the main thing when purchasing a product like this is to understand in advance what the limitations are.
When you open the Roborock app with will give the option to scan for device. This will then open a QR code reader in the app and so then then you scan the QR code located on the robot vacuum
I just got my machine and anxious to set it up….my question is this….I have my house decorated for Christmas and some furniture rearranged….should I wait to map the house till all is in place after Christmas or will it reprogram when I change things back to what is normal placements ….thank you…enjoyed your video
It’s horrible. First clean- left so much dirt behind and then it died- after an hour of meh cleaning…. And now it won’t connect to my WiFi / to its own WiFi. And it won’t charge. Horrible. I’m returning it.
