Roborock S8 unboxing and comparison with Roborock S7 MAX V 

As far as I see from these comparisions and compatibility tests together with the previous model I think the main conclusion for me is that if someone wants to buy an S8 - he/she MUST decide in advance if the automatic dust collecting unit (Plus or Ultra) is needed in order to buy the proper model set at once in the beginning. Otherwise if he/she decides to save some money in the beginning e.g. to buy the basic S8 - basically later it will not be compatible with the automatic dust remover and mop wash station, including the one from the previous model. Or eventually additional mop set and dust bin have to be bought to use the basic model with the automatic dust collecting unit (Plus) and/or mop washing unit (Ultra). So - thanks for the review. Some people say the S7 single roller is better. I got an S8. On my wood floor it does a good job sucking up fine "sandy" debris. The really small ones you feel when draging a finger on the floor. Always using Turbo mode. Another thing to mention. A few millimeters out where the carpet line goes. It leaves this sandy feel also. It cant suck it up. BUT in the kitchen we have a softer kind of floor. And for some reason it perform worse there. The sandy feel is mostly left. When I run it in MAX mode. Its abit better but not 100%. I dont really get it? Maybe the floor is slighlty more sticky. Or dual rollers are worse. I wish I had an S7 just to compare if the single roller works better here. And another thing iv noticed. Since the rollers on all roborocks is between the wheels. The side brush cant deal with stuff like this along walls. Even If I see its brushing over it. And all the fine "sticky" stuff stays where it is anyway. 😐

Nice comparison. So what broke on your Max V? I agree on the Q5 brush it definitely cleans a lot better, I put one on my plain S7 and it made a world of difference!

Great! @T.M.VIDS Can the S8 return automatically to the S7 empty dock station? In other words: I have the S8, can I buy a less expensive s7 empty dock station and get the same functionalities as if I buy an S8+?

If you buy an S8 plus dust bin you can use the S7 Max V station.

What dustbin would i need for the S8 to work with the S7 dock? That wasn't clear

I have an S7 right now and want ro upgrade to an S8. I have a bunch of spare parts for the S7 and while trying to understand what fits where i found your video. I'm trying to follow this video but it's hard to hear you... Could you please just write out which spare parts are compatible with both?
