mine was blue lost it too but 2016 it was cut short on life span from this one this one it lasted about 10 years blue it lived 4 years short do to the fact they glued it down was only 6 unlike this one
@@AllAboutJack me I had a white one in my childhood a long while back it was great for 10 long years but the blue one sucked it quit walking for 4 years then died off at 6 total it was because of a weak sensor that was cut in half by a spring starting with the arms going down to the left leg which is why white is better it lasts way longer because they actually screwed the arms on in the blue one though it sucked they glued it on with tape which is not required for robots like that which is why white was so much better the only problem it hat was falling over because a hand was loss ITS FINNALY BACK!!!! I got one after a move, and it so happens a kid that bullied me lived next door. His mom made him apologize to me, and every time he came over he’d play with it and ignore me completely, so I asked my mom to stop inviting him lmfao. Jack, if you somehow find this, you’re kind of an asshole.
me too, I got this toy when it first came out in 2013, at first me and my brother loved it, we'd get home from school and be all alone cause our parents were working so We played with ti all the time and had a blast making it walk and dance. Then one day when we got home from school, it was not where we left it, and instead was in the living room with its arms up. At first, we thought nothing of it but thought it was strange that it moved by itself. We continued to play with but it started acting strangely and doing things without us telling it to. It would lift its arms or say "oo, ow". Eventually, we lost the remote for it, just couldn't find it anymore, the only thing we could do was turn it on and off, which was still fun for a 10-year-old me, but no lifting arms, no walking, only wake up and turn off. So soon we lost interest and i got a guinea pig for Christmas, a new obsession that i loved, i named him Pablo and so we stopped playing with it as it collected dust in my closet. Until one night, I was woken up by a sound playing in my bedroom, a sound i once loved, it was the dancing sound and when i woke up and looked, i saw the robot dancing and playing the "dun dundun dundudndun" song in the middle of my room. there's no way it could've done that by itself but it did, everyone else was sleeping and the remote was still lost. but there he was dancing in my room after being untouched for weeks. i shut him off and put him back in the closet, not knowing how what i just saw happened. the next morning i woke to him missing, not in the closet where i left him. i went to school and tried to forget about but i kept feeling an overwhelming sense of dread when i thought about him, and i had an awful feeling that it did something terrible. when me and my brother got home we found pablos cage door opened and no pablo inside. we were very worried and started searching for him when we herad the same dancing song playing from the bathroom, "dun dundun dundudndun". we crept in and saw pablo dead on the floor in a pool of blood, and the robosapien standing over him dancing, holding a kitchen knife. robosapien killed my guinea pig. after that we sold the toys to some family and little boy, and have forgotten about him unti l saw a youtube video pop up in my recommended randomly. the thought cant escape my head now and i wanted to relay the message to ANYONE thinking about buying one. good luck.
I have the normal one from 2004 . It used to live in my dads garage. He let me take it in the house to play with it, and I still have it to this day. It just needs a new speaker because it stopped making noise, but still works fine.
+Moon Light I was going to post a video on how to program other moves but it's a waste of time coz every time you turn off the robot, the program gets deleted too. So you have to redo it again. Plus it's quite confusing. So I just go with the basic movements.
Thank you. I tried it yesterday but it works for a second only 😒. I installed to two mobiles but the problem still the same. The robot moves for 1 cm and then stopped responding
I just bought this robot yesterday. I got it working on my phone app and it's almost perfect! The only thing that bothers me is the volume. I wish there's some ways I can lower the volume a bit.
i remember getting the 3 foot tall gray one for Christmas like 15 years ago. how are these not way better now days, this thing should have a camera and be able to do fuckin backflips and have AI
I got it from a friend who is from Japan, but he had to go back to Japan. 7 years later and I still haven't heard from him. I still have the robot but the battery acid leaked out 😭😭😭
This company should be awarded for the most money made on a unusable item in nearly every household! This toy had an almost 97% dissapointment rate! Truly revolutionary.
It was a very intimidating toy I must admit. It's just the instant loud noises and the heavy movements. Like I once accidently turned it on at night and it put me off.
I have a normal white robosapien aka my first ever one, Black sapien, and the current rs blue. I got them all when I was a kid. I got the white robosapien (not the x) from Santa for Christmas. The Black one came from kohls but I got it for my birthday. And the RS Blue was on Christmas eve. I colored the white one and it stopped working years ago and now it still does not work. Btw I had them when I was a kid.
Interesting. When I got mine it was around $100. I suppose it has to do with the seller just wants that robot gone, or 14 year old toy robots are just not as impressive anymore. Probably both.

this ones better than the blue ones my blue one died out a year ago and the old one was g 1 from 2008 and it was because they over did the coil in the arms and added 6 wires instead of 4 and that’s why it broke do to you much wires that caused the springs to snap out leading to his death I did with out the arms but once I got the arms the cable snapped off that made him walk leading the power to burn out Sad loss because I had him for so long like thats a toy I’ll never let go because I was so attached to it and blue ones from now have poor quality the older ones are surprisingly better with the flow because of less wiring told my mom when it died at 12 am it died on 1-12-2022 at 10pm in other words when I say this I mean robot’s because it’s ben like 3 months without that music I still get empty thinking that I hear him in my sleep realizing once I wake up he’s not there
@@AllAboutJack no the only way was to replace it because I repaired it dozens of times until it got really pail and died off the paint was really worn out the eyes wouldn't work nothing and so I did replace it in white its now a robo-sapien v1 these things ca never really lasty because if done to fast pop it breaks i had a tri-bot once he died to at an impressive 15 years and won't come back because of eBay

It might have gears with teeth broken off them, the only way to fix that is a disassembly of the entire robot to replace the gears or fix any broken motors. Better just to buy a different one used off of eBay. Or try to find a new old stock one.

saw him at a yard sale this weekend and caught his dance on tape with my RS blue remote they had one for sale this weekend and I brought my rs blue remote so yes all remotes work on any robo-sapien X I herd about its name being changed to ROBO-SAPIEN X but its still my childhood my best robot as a kid still my robo-sapien from my childhood back in 2008 then saw him in Walmart so many times just never bought it because it was so expensive last year until the other day I just saw that the price finally dropped then I was going to buy it gain until the damen fire alarm went off and I dropped its box by accident he's on my pay back list because the music is the main thing to it the dance its you spin me right round had a blue one RS Blue but it died last year people where wondering if I could make another video for my channel of this robot I said its broken and died off so it may have to wait until I finally save enough at the right time to buy one again since i WENT GETTING A skull prop that lows stolen from me it may have to wait a little bit because lows stole it from me I had the idea in 2010 tom help with disney worlds animatronics which they stole it claiming it there’s in 2022
@@AllAboutJackYES I got it back now RS V1 in 2023 but beware Lows Walmart and a few other stores stole my ideas this christmas dang it and with the skull I’m planning to make it a body and make it walk at human height this is very difficult i just hate Disney because they got rid of my beloved bay-max character i know its a costume but i loved that character so bad wheni herd the news on it in 2021 i wrote how could you make a park so sad which is where i'm making a robot that can achieve the flowing movements and if they accept it it''l come back once i make a full robotic body but this task is very difficult like i said the balance is the main problem with the legs
My TriBot passed at 15 years we tried getting him on eBay it didn’t come and they gave us our money back now where struggling on replacing him he was 15 years old and died on me I need help replacing TriBot because it was a good toy it was made to last until last year when it croaked 😢 But then I went to target WOWWEE’s gone but then I saw and got a real transformer 😮it actually transforms by complete RC and it’s Optimus prime
mine lasted a short life to to the mother board and sound he was around for 6 years so these guys can last if I'm right about 7 if you keep theme long enough
