Ah, Robot Chicken. Thank you. This made me laugh without feeling an overwhelming depression of truth and sadden cover-up of emotionless laughter that I usually do, because of some of your skits.
@@skylarthompson299 Nope, I keep on walking life with a horrible outlook about it. The only thing that I found that helps me out are little funny skits that are purely innocent without to much vulgarity in them. Don't get me wrong, I love morbid shit too, but expecting something messed up to be wholesome is really a great surprise. Thanks for asking. 😁
@@Thomperfan For Robot Chicken, the fact the gag is JUST the other characters think they're gay when they're just playing with funny sound toys is actually pretty tame
So there's a musical I'd recommend you to watch, it's called avenue q it's on RU-vid and they sort of have that side plot. It's not exactly it but I recommend everybody to watch that thing.
Doesn't really ruin mine either. I mean hell, if they are a couple, you gotta accept that some couples have sex, regardless of whether they're straight or gay or whatever. So couples don't too and you gotta accept that as well. I mean, you don't gotta be happy about it, but that's life.
One of the better Robot Chicken-sketches. None of the beloved childhood-characters got brutally murdered and there was no tasteless shock humor either.
@@xblade149 I agree, RC is all about hit and miss humor. What we each find funny is subjective, it has an array of skits, gives a lot of guest writers/VAs a chance and you're watching it on RU-vid, so it's free... These guys are pretentious.
@@javis88h that is a possibility, although the creator of Burt Anderson Ernie did say that he based their Dynamic off of the dynamic he has with husband. I believe you said that he was a Bert in the relationship
True but Bert and Ernie I believe actually are supposed to be a gay couple. Obviously because of the homophobic nature of television they can’t openly be homosexual but the creator of Bert and Ernie was gay and based it off of his own relationship.
I've got something in my front pocket for you Why don't you reach on in my pocket and see what it is? There, grab onto it, it's just for you Give it a little squeeze and say: "How do you do?"…
While I’m not taking any sides in this, if we’re going by the ”puppets can’t be gay, they don’t exist below the waist” logic, then there aren’t any straight puppets either.
@@bernardomarkuskampffdemelo4323 it's a reference to Supernatural. There's an apocalyptic war going on between heaven and hell pretty much. Dean, a hunter of monsters, had said it to Castiel, a virgin angel at this point of episode (06x04 I think)
I love how nonjudgmental Cookie Monster and Grover are. They’re just like “aw isn’t that sweet?? Hey, we should probably leave. This seems like a private moment.”
The fact that the dude who invented bert and ernie based their relationship on his real life relationship with his partner. Bert and ernie are actually lowkey gay.
I find it funny that Robot Chicken's jokes about Bert and Ernie is that they're NOT gay and everyone just thinks they are. I enjoy a little subversion. Also, it's nice that Cookie Monster and Grover are so accepting.
Ernie isn’t wrong The word gay did mean happy in the old days That’s why the original The three Caballeros song had “we’re three caballeros three gay caballeros” It also used to mean care-free and cheerful
Ernie later: someday you'll have the courage to tell him how you really feel...someday. This is what they warned you about Ernie, never fall in love with a straight man Burt: Ernie I thought I heard you talking to yourself, what were you saying? Ernie: H-how much I love my rubber ducky? Burt: You're such a silly guy Ernie Ernie: Yeah...A silly, silly, love sick guy
Finally a robot chicken sketch that understands a weird sex joke and isn’t joke some edgy skit of characters being mauled to death. This is not only very tame but also a commentary on everyone saying they’re gay.
Everybody talks about Ernie and Bert in this sketch but no one talks about Grover and Cookie Monster overhearing and just saying "we should probably come back later".
This reminds me of a time my mom and aunt decided to drop some housewarming gifts off at my cousin’s house (they’d just recently gotten married). Judging by the sizable delay it took the two of them to reach the door, their clearly exhausted composure, and the fact that they felt the urge to immediately state they were just watching tv… I have a sneaking suspicion there was no tv-watching.
NOT even R.C. can ruined my past childhood when it comes to “Sesame Street”...& never will, I still love this show soo much even thru I no longer watch it on.
It’s crazy how much this actually seems like a real Bert and Ernie skit. Lol 😂😂😂 I mean yeah you‘d ONLY be able to find this on robot chicken, but it still feels authentic like this just feels like your typical lovable Bert and Ernie situation
