as somebody who gets lost constantly cuz of grappling around, I salute you and other drillers for saving my dumbass on multiple occasions, Rock and Stone!
For those about to rock and stone, we salute you. But seriously, drillers never get enough respect, despite making most caves into pavements, and most hordes into ash/shards/biomass.
I remember as a Gunner i went back half the map to save Engineer and Driller after they got swarmed by a bunch of special enemies. 1:20 on the timer, i sprint in there, set the area on fire, die, iron will myself and manage to shield and revive Engi, who then revives me and sets up repelling platforms around Driller and i zip down and unload last of my minigun into an Oppressor. Get him up, shield the anchor of my zipline and we all get back to extraction on slivers of health and with 3 seconds on the timer. Glorious
Miles away from the drop pod when it lands, only 5 minutes to get there, and the cave is too convoluted to figure out an easy path to get to it? Hahahaha power drills go BBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!
I agree Driller is a utility of high value in the extraction sequence even when driller does not have any upgrades on the drills or other equipment. Driller is a class that could have made travel easy but the fuel and overheat mechanics on the drills was the balance.
I was once on a on-site refining mission, we finished it and got ready to get to the drop pod, but then our engi got downed, the driller went there to help him, but died as well, the gunner tried to revive them, same result. So there i was, alone in the drop pod until i realized everyone was dead, so with 1 minute left, i busteed over to everyone, i revived the engi first and almost died, then revived the gunner, grappled and revived the driller next. The time was almost up, about 30 seconds left. We ran to the drop pod, and with a single second left, we were all in the pod, and escaped. I have the clip. *Leave No Dwarf Behind.*
Honestly the escape sequence of each mission never gets old. It feels like that's when the team is most together, making sure no dwarf is left behind to the bugs. The feelings that the gameplay and music evoke during this part are phenomenal.
I remember we were all running for our life’s, no health left, scarce ammo and grenades, we were trying to reach the pod and I noticed doretta’s head on the floor before exiting the cavern, my friends were shouting at me to hurry the fuck up or they were leaving me, the moment they saw me pick up doretta they came rushing back and kept passing doretta from one dwarve to the other to keep her safe. We managed to make it to the escape pod with doretta in hand and all dwarves ok. As another reply said, Doretta mines, she digs caves and helps you with the mission, that makes her a dwarve and a member of the team. LEAVE NO DWARVE BEHIND.
as a scout that does this way too often, i can confirm that the impact that literally shatters my ankles into a million pieces does not hit harder than this song
Yeah as a scout main i know if my HB is on cool down I have to plummet to the ground at mach 5 or wait for an engi to help me And hitting the ground at mach 5 doesn't hit as hard as this
as a scout main, can confirm falling from the roof at Mach 10, going down and shattering every bone in my body into stardust upon impact doesn't hit as hard as the drop
sadly, BET-C project were closed, so they now must be left there, in the glorious, neverending battle agains hordes of bugs. Rock and Stone, little sister
This track is the favorite part of the Vol-1 of the OST for it's creator Sophus Alf Agerbæk-Larsen. It's also fav of the vast majority of the community. And i understand why :3 ROCK AND STONE FOREVA!
"The M.U.L.E has been retrieved. Initiating launch sequence. Deep Rock Galactic thanks you for your good work. The drop pod will leave with or without you."
"I had only been with DRG for a few months then. Mostly routine salvage missions, nothing really special. So when the meteor hit, my team wasn't ready for what was to come. Management told us we had to secure the plagueheart, so we got to work. Damn pencil pushers...they should've warned us the buggers became more hostile near the crash site. By the time we cracked the bastard open, the whole squad was low on ammo, hell, my turrets were nothing but rotating flashlights then. Elron was busy setting up the zipline for our eacape, didn't see the Green Knasher until it was chewing on his spine. I wanted to help, but Jozal held me back; Drop pod had already touched down and we didn't have time. That run through the caverns was filled with gunfire and snarls. Caleb fell down a hole I'd failed to cover, didn't even scream. He was there, and then he wasn't. By the time we got to the ramp, locals were right on our heels. Jozal decided to hold them off, buy me time to get onboard. Toughest damn gunner I ever knew. I can still hear them yknow? When I'm staring down into that empty mug at the Abyss, I can hear them giving those freaks hell... Rock and Stone brothers. Rock. And. Stone." -Jink, Engineer
when i first heard this song, didn't have the game either honestly, deep rock galactic's a banger game. if you're considering buying it, then stop considering it, and straight up buy it, it's what you think it is but better.
I remember doing a "Simple" mining mission with a couple of randoms. I was playing Engi and we had a large Lithophage meteorite. it ended up destroying most of our way to the drop pod we called in the Drop pod and on our way there I ended up falling down a resupply hole because I wasn't paying attention. But as all of these stories go, someone came in clutch. The Scout jumped down and used his grapple to save himself, revived me, we went back up, one of our Gunners were on there way down to help out before I had died, he fell, I ended up using my platforms to go down, revived him, and we got back to the drop pod with 5 seconds remaining and a Glyphid Detonator on our arses. So yeah it was a "Simple" mining mission.
I remember going back to save somebody as scout with time running low, thankfully driller made a tunnel earlier in the extraction that got me there quickly, after all, *leave no dwarf behind*, rock and stone yall
Was just playing a match. We were on our way back to the drop pod which was just at the end of the tunnel, but one of our dwarves fell down a supply pod hole and died. So our driller drilled down to revive him while the other dwarf and I (gunner) defended the top of the hole. Driller revived the dwarf and they tried to get back up, but the revived dwarf fell back down again, so the driller went down to get him. There was less than a minute thirty to get to the pod, and they were 50 meters straight down and easily a couple hundred meters or more by the tunnel, so they weren't able to make it back. The other dwarf and I had to leave without them.
i remember i was in mining expedition, we were at the end of the cave, i was afk got busy with a phone call, and when i got back the drop pod was called, i was down, when i announced i got back, gunner ran back to me and revived me. we fought back together to the drop pod , even a bulk detonator appear, we killed that bastard lol, we were mere few seconds away from entering, as a scout i managed to hop in while he was... left there. Saluting with "We fight for rock and stone"... o7 (i wasn't count as survived cuz i got squashed by door as i watched him getting left there)
When I’m chilling at the entrance to the drop pod but I notice that one of my teammates are down: It’s not about the survival bonus, it’s about not leaving a dwarf behind
Salut, on se connaît pas mais j'ai vu que tu faisais partie des fans de Star Wars Déconne (tout comme moi, je t'ai vus dans un des commentaires des vidéos). Juste pour dire que Pigrelin est de retour ...
