This continues the trend of P-Bandai releases coming with less "bang for the buck" than retail releases. They've made a million of those thruster and blast effects there's no reason they couldn't stuff a few into this package
Good that you got the other antennae to fit. Took a bit of jimmying to get mine in, but it sits flush now. I really like this guy. He's got such a nice design and great feel to him. Proportions are much better than the High Grade, though I miss the brighter (although less anime accurate) orange. As much as I love the color balance and design, you're right in calling him lacking. Accessories are a lesser version of the Type C; wish we got some thruster parts! Sad that he's P-Bandai. Of the Type C variants, HG made the Space Type Premium, MG made the Powered Premium, and Damashii had the worst of both worlds with both premium. Aw man. Really curious to see what you think of the GM Cannon II. That looks like a great figure.
@@UCRDReviews Yeah. The P-Bandai is frustrating, but honestly, the GM Cannon II being one is probably the worst for the 0083 line so far. The Rick Dom Zwei had only a few scenes and a small role in the Mayfly of Space, the Powered GM was only in a couple of episodes to be a jobber, the Space Type C had a handful of small appearences in the OVA, but the GM Cannon II was a major recurring suit that the main supporting cast used. It's like if the Guntank was P-Bandai! Which it was... twice!
Psyche1903 Yeah, I definitely address that in my GM Cannon review. It’s ridiculous that it would be P-Bandai when it’s in nearly every episode from start to finish. To complete the team, you need to get a figure that could easily become ultra rare.

Never really planned on getting this one, but got one incoming from a JP friend who ordered three of these; wanting to return the favour for helping them get the NA MMPR Legacy Dragonzord. Wanted to say thanks for the review, was initially worried about the bulkier proportions and balance on the GM Kai body; but turns out Bandai got it to articulate pretty much the same as the regular GM Kai. Might not wanna bother with my pre-order on the Space Type now though. Got my GM Cannon II Friday, and it's been a really fun figure. Only nit-pik is right before I started panel lining mine, noticed some thick stress marks on the where the ball-joints for the front skirt connect. Also have to agree the reliance on web exclusivity is a real shame for us(in Canada so can't even use the NA Tamashii Web shop since Bluefin won't ship outside the US...), have a middleman for now; but gonna suck if I can't get a friend or relative(real low chance at this one working) to help me in the future. Previous job that worked with ABS and POM plastics regularly, leaves me a bit more understanding of Bandai's situation with the nearly all ABS construction of the ANIME line; but it'll still be a stressful time if I miss a pre-order and have to resort to Mandarake for these. Last month my order for the web exclusive for the 'Vierres (Aura Phantasm Ver.)' from Aura Battler Dunbine was my big get(either version of the Vierres has been one of my top favourite anime mecha since my teens), and the 10,000 yen I dropped stung, but the 16,000 yen on Mandarake is gonna be soul crushing if I go through with the original plan to have three of that figure...
Powered GM isn't really a heavily armored version of the GM Kai (Type C). Powered GM was an experimental GM with built in shock absorbers in the chest and legs to deal with the extra Gs and strains of the new thruster and power pack.
WatcherMovie008 Thats right. It does have added armor as I point out in the video. It isn’t a “full armor” MS or anything but it does have more armor than a standard C-Type. I did mention it being an experimental type for the backpack and stuff as well
An enhanced mobility test type on the refined reissue of the standard issue mass production machine. Is hardly a commander unit. More like a captain's unit. A commander unit would be either be a further upgraded Powered GM or one of the more powerful GM variants. The Striker, the Guard Custom, the Intercept Custom, Sniper Custom, Sniper 2, GM Custom, and the Cannon 2 are all prime suspects for a commanding officer to favor. Especially the Sniper 2 if you could get a hold of it. The Sniper 2 is effectively a Gundam that does not look like a Gundam. Just my personal observation.

There is no reason for this one to be P-Bandai. This literally has to reuse some parts from the Type C, who is a regular release, and it does not come with new parts really outside of that. Bloody rip. Temptibg me to just get the Model Kit and ignore the figure out of spite.
@@7stupidguys I got two After Colony Maganacs and they feep pretty solid. I will consider getting more kits. Sadly though my hands are bit big and it take *3 hours* to put a kit together.
