I have the exact same robot and color but under another brand, KOSGHO.. and cost me $61.38 with tax on ebay. My above ground pool has a bunch of wrinkles on the bottom but it does not slow it down !! It just zoom, zoom, zooms !! There are a few more brands that are exactly the same but I think the difference is the battery, mine has a 5200 mAh battery but have not tested it fully as I have an 18 foot round pool and it gets the job done under an hour. So I would recommend this to anyone as it does a great job !! Thanks for making the video.
A few things I would like to comment on. Another video says you have 10 seconds to put it in the water after pushing the button and all you have to do is just drop it in - so no need to put the cleaner in the water, then turn it on. We used a Pool Blaster Max by Water Tech for a couple of summers and discovered that, with those types of cleaners (battery-operated), the battery does not hold up long after a handful of charges and eventually, you will never get the green light at all - we've been through this twice now. And it's not like you can buy a replacement battery - you can MAKE a replacement battery, if you're good at that type thing. But from comments elsewhere, I'm seeing the same issue with this little cleaner - wondering if it's not really by Water Tech. Another thing that most instructions will not tell you is that you should really not use your robotic or battery-operated cleaner in a pool that you are shocking or a pool where the free chlorine (FC) is over 4 ppm. So if you keep your cyanuric acid (CYA) at the "recommended" level of 50ppm, your necessary FC will already be over that 4ppm warning - at a 50ppm CYA, your FC level must be at 6ppm in order to ward off any algae blooms. Personally, I keep my pool CYA at 20ppm, because I've already tested it and KNOW that the 20ppm is enough for my 17,200 gal pool, which means that I only need a free chlorine level of 2.4ppm...well below the 4ppm. Your free chlorine level should be about 12% of your CYA. So I'm thinking that a lot of these cleaners, whether robotic or battery-operated, are being damaged by the level of free chlorine and possibly high pH. Research it before risking your new cleaners. Sorry so long-winded.
@@kg4955 it did for six months. Then, one of the wheels broke, and from what I found on the website, there isn’t an option to order the wheel by itself. The unit works great. The wheel broke after daily use for six months, which put the machine out of commission.
@@elizabethsullivan7125 hmm I’m not sure. Ours worked for only six months before the wheel broke and there wasn’t an option to replace the wheel itself without having to buy a whole new unit. It’s a bummer that yours isn’t working anymore either.
@Leah Watts great. It does a really good job. It works way better than I thought it would. The battery only holds charge for about 30 minutes. Sometimes I have to use it twice in a day. It takes about 2 to 3 hours to recharge.
Just got mine today and its charging up. Went to utube to find more info and video and their you were!!! Excellent video!!! Can't wait to try this baby out.. Think ill call her Baby...
I just bought an above ground pool.. we are so happy....oval 12x16x52” for 3600 + 200 for mineral water+ 1100 installation. In NYC. Very expensive though...

Just got mine. It's charging now. I had the whale one and they work well for about two seasons. I like this concept because it doesn't tie up your skimmer while vacuuming. I'm in the deep south and bugs will start appearing within an hour of your skimmer being off.
Just used for the first time. When I took it out there was a lot of small debris that seems to come out before I can get it out of the water. What is the best way to remove from water to not have this happen
The wheels on my fresh out of the box cleaner has wheel stops on top of stem so once I pull back the tab, the wheel still doesn't release. The stopper isn't coming off easily and I don't want to break it. Nothing in the instructions mentions this stopper at all. Any suggestions?
So, would this robot work in a typical rectangular above-ground pool? Those have curved transition between the floor and the sides, and in the video you said something about that it requires straight angle? Thanks.
Thank you for this. I've had mine for over a week and didn't know how to begin. My lid won't come off though and I'm nervous to break it if I pull too hard. You appeared to take it off very easily. Also, I have a pool that goes from 3-6', its a rectangle. Does that angle effect the vacuum?
The only issue I had with mine was the charging port got a little corroded and needed to be cleaned. Try cleaning it with vinegar so it makes better contact when you hook up the charger.
Used first time today. Works great only a few issues. Gets caught behind ladder. And I also have a large dip in pool bottom (moles) but it only took about half an hour to clean bottom. I just hung out back and helped it out a little when it got stuck... I am keeping it.
I had mine plugged up for well over 4 hours and the light never turned green. Literally only moved for about a minute before it would just stop moving. Still on but not movement. So far EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!!
Can anyone tell me if my pump needs to be off or keep it on filter mode? I turned it off but idk if that’s the right thing to do or if it matters. Not sure
I brought mines last year and now this year it is not coming on even though it is saying full charge. Have you ever had this problem and is it a battery in it?
I'm having same issue , it still beeps if it's on when I plug it in to charge , idk if that's right or not ? Please inform if anyone knows . Green light is on , on the charging box regardless if it's plugged into the sweeper or not . So , idk if it's fully charged or if it's dead and or broken ... sweeper does nothing in the water .
I may be wrong but I think any pool surface cleaner is going to get clogged up by really big leaves you just have to use your judgment if you see big leaves and just get them out of there with your net.
Unfortunately they don't last long we have a small 15ft by 48ins pool and 9 mths in and it has died. We contacted Aiper and the after service is NONE. We had to contact them at about 6mths in that one of the rub flaps had come loose and asked to replace it. They took 3 months to reply after many, many emails and then they said they had no way to send it to us. So not going to buy again.
Yep, that's what's going on here. I've had it since April and LOVED it. Now it's not working. I came here looking for similar reports or possible diy fix.
I bought one from Walmart summer escape. And it wouldn't work. Now that I've watched more makeup sure your pool is completely flat. I have dips in my pools bottom will fix next year but it just gets stuck. Took it back
Great review I have been looking for one to purchase and I believe I'm going to get this one for the money and what it does I think it would be a good purchase thanks for the great review
For the money I definitely think it’s a Great camera. If you’re looking for something less expensive and you don’t mind having to recharge it, and don’t need the spotlight, the E-40 is also a great camera
I’ve always worried how brittle the plastic is and how touchy the patches are on the filter, never thought about the little wheel tab being what would break :(
