Edging cell controlled by a robot arm connected to an edge bander equipped with a return conveyor system. The system works with data delivered from the CAD, CAM, ERP or MES systems of the customer. The data required is standard parts data such as dimensions, materials and edging information.
The workflow can be adjusted for mass production or batch size 1 mode, according to the customer needs. The batch size 1 mode requires barcode reading system, provided together with the solution. When working in mass production mode the parts on top of each parts pile need to be scanned with a manual barcode scanner and afterwards the parts laser detection locates the parts on the pallets.

Would be nice if this would showcase a real world scenario instead of the simple 'bite size' panel. What about door panels sized 2800x600, what about 1/2 Vs 3/4 edging? In addition, I can put a student at that machine that will cost in our country 25 euro per hour and do those exact same actions. Would be nice to see an ROI calculation with that in mind. I also wonder for what kind of companies this would actually be workable: working at the edgeband machine requires in our case frequent glue type changes, laser Vs Pu changes etc.

Robot can't control quality of edge

The quality of the edge banding process depends on the edge bander itself. There is no quality control system in the standard execution of the cell.

@@MOSConsultTechChannel robot is good for large series on Cnc macine, not for edge bander, some times edge can stuck on machine and he can't see that, and he dont stop

Like this, robot is to slow for edgenabder, for cnc is ideal, because worker on cnc have 90% free time, and that coast, only need to change panel
