Hi there, here are my thoughts. What's needed is a humanoid but with 2 human arms on a stick, and base with 4 wheels. Long arms and a telescoping spine would be a bonus.
It's very strange that most humanoid robots have legs, before the arms could even do any useful work... A super-smart arms-only robot is much better, he can cook eggs for you, he can work on factory floors... and he never needs to balance. Most importantly, it can be made cheap and tele-operate to teach him almost all tasks. Humans don't really do tasks with feet, mostly just getting around and balancing.
