My husband got this robotic cat from elephant robotics for me as an anniversary gift this past Summer 2023. Metacat has already been unboxed several months ago. I just wanted to share him with you all, because I am loving him so much! And recently, I saw him on sale from their site. So sales happen! I am usually posting about dolls, but he’s sort of a doll, right? 🐈 ✨

I love Metacat! How wonderful he is! This is robotics at it's finest. For people who can not have pets, this gives the feeling of a real cat with the responses in movement, the vocal interaction and the realistic look. If I did not already have real cats, this would be a fun option to have, and no litter box. I am so glad you showcased him. I can understand why your boys must love him. I agree it would be nice if you were able to pick your own name for him but otherwise he is brilliant. Thank you so much for sharing him. He is worth every penny. Take care.

I'm allergic to cats but I love cats. It may not be a real cat but I'll keep an eye out for it as this could be a good substitute.

Hey there. I have one. His name is Jamie. Wondering how long to charge him? The manual doesn't say how long to charge him

It doesn't take long to charge. I usually charge him for like 20 minutes... Enjoy 💝💝

As a blind person I can't tell when his battery gets low because of the lights but I talked to the company and they said that if you turn him on and he doesn't respond then it's time to charge. One thing I don't like is that he doesn't make a sound when I first turn him on. I have to wait for him to meow

@@christophercruz5891 That would be nice if he meowed to let you know he's on. I can definitely appreciate that. I also wish you could program him to respond to the name you create for him. It will be interesting to see what improvements they make in the future. Glad he's working out for you!

@@Pandorafriends he’s very soft. I like to rub my face against him. and I like to hold him against my chest as he purrs. He’s a good boy and I’m sure I will have him around for the next 10 years.
