Thos implies there is some sort of contengency protocol in their dialogue tree that allows them to plea for mercy, under conditions that clara expierianced, perhaps it means that not all daleks are without some broader range of emotion, maybe a protocol to protect a dalek that feels genuine dread.

As someone who has never seen Doctor Who and have no knowledge of the show, this is one of the most hilarious scenes for me. It seems really emotional but between him holding the robot at gun point with what looks like a Lamp with no shade and the loud crazy voice of the dalek robot I can’t stop laughing

Clara is the best Doctor's companion! She was strong, brave and smart. She never abandoned the Doctor and did not set up either the Doctor, his companions, or humanity, succumbing to emotions or her own ambitions, although her life situations were much more difficult and weighty than the rest of his companions and even the Doctor himself. Without hesitation or regret, she sacrificed herself for the sake of someone she respects and loves with all her heart, simply knowing that it is necessary and there is no other way. Overall, the whole story of Doctor Capaldi was more mature, tragic and interesting than anything that came before him in the series. Don’t think - I love the entire series, other iterations of the Doctor and all his companions, starting with the Doctor’s daughter, ending with Rory and Amelia, but it is this Doctor, with all his appearance trying to show that everything is in order, but burning inside from fatigue and endless grief for everyone he met in his life, from loneliness and from his own helplessness, his gaze, filled with tears and the mask of a friendly and kind grandfather, through which in moments seeps the boundless despair accumulated by centuries of incredibly difficult decisions and heavy responsibility for them, all the regret and self-hatred - Peter Capaldi was able to bring to life the soul of the main character and show the doctor not a strange alien, but we live as a creature that is even more human than all people combined. Clara was his salvation and a hero, who was the only one of everyone he met who saw in the Doctor not a hero who will save them no matter what, but a lonely person who needs help. I love these two characters more than anyone else in this series, because their story is ten heads better than anything the writers showed 50 years before. I thankful for Jenna Coleman and Peter Capaldi for best tandem in Doctor Who. I love them so much!❤
