Amazing video. Very informative. I believed this was gonna happen already but it's great that you went in depth to how everything might go down. And it's all logical. Just one bit of constructive criticism would be to choose a quieter more subtle track for the background music because it was a bit distracting. A gentler track maybe slow orchestral track would be more ideal for a long video.

I'm a magician. Do you really wanna waste a robot on that? I think i'm safe. :) And when the robots take all your jobs and money and your TV's all get repo'd, you're all gonna have to watch my shit :)

Good video Filup, well researched and balanced presentation of the facts. What i find interesting is the 65% or people who think their jobs are safe, they are probably also the group most likely to post in the comment section "UBI is just socialism, get good scrub" or "why don't they just reeducate themselves and start a business doing something else?". While the lowest hanging fruit for automation to replace are the blue collar jobs, ironically it is the drive for ever increasing profits that mean when all the blue collar jobs are gone the white collar jobs will be next. Lawyers, doctors, engineers, financial analysts, all these jobs that we continue to sell to the next generation as safe to take on massive student debt to try and obtain will no longer be a safe bet. We already have a bot that can dispense legal advice re parking fines, algorithms that can translate symptoms into a diagnosis, robots to fill prescriptions, programs that automate engineering design, automated trading platforms that trade stocks based on predefined rules. If an AI such as Watson is applied to any of these existing applications and given the right historical data to mine, we are only a few steps away from these professional jobs being replaced. Also good luck with this in America, given you rage against the concept of universal healthcare systems, UBI must seem like some insane communist pipe dream. You will also be one of the first to feel the effects as your largely unregulated economy, advanced tech sector and ability to simply purchase legislation through lobbying mean any large scale replacement of professional jobs is likely to happen there first.

UBI is referred to as living wage in the UK, and some politicians are trying to get a national living wage, whereby every one gets so much money a week, and then they can get more money on top of the living wage.

As someone who lives on monthly disability i can say... a thousand dollars a month would be near 136% monthly increase... that would be a godsend to say the least.

this is perfect! I've been trying to explain this same thing to people.

A great example is Agents of shield's life model decoys.

I would say 80-90% of people couldn't live there life doing nothing. I've been disabled since I was a child and because of this I can't work a traditional job but that doesn't mean I don't work. I've started multiple businesses (most have failed due to lack of funds) I spend a lot of time and energy into my work I even put myself in a lot of physical pain to do it, not to make money because tbh I'm not making shit but because I enjoy it. My work means something to me, it gives me a sense of fulfillment. Sure most people would love to lay in bed sleeping and watching Netflix but you can't do that forever, after a couple of months you'll go crazy.

You would have to flip the ENTIRE education system on it's head. You won't be creating workers anymore, you will be teaching life skills. It would be like 30% normal English, Maths and Science and the rest would be arts and crafts, cooking, languages, general knowledge, health class and common sense.
