+respeezy If they sit back too much and don't "sit on the knee", I think spinning under for the kiss of the dragon might be a better option. If they defend that by putting their weight forward, you have a better chance hitting them with this. In any case Robson's technique is amazing.

paulockleford i dont think so, when you knee slice you are actively posting on your outside leg and not putting that knee on the floor. Look i maybe come across as saying the whole technique doesnt work which is not what i meant, it is usable in combination with other techniques like kiss of the dragon and getting some action reaction. i am just getting annoyed by lots of videos lately that are part of a bigger concept and are taken out of that bigger picture and will not work if you dont understand the whole dynamic of the position., therefore being useless and not working for most people that will try it. sorry for the long ass incoherent rant.

+respeezy I think you're kinda right but the problem is universal for this kind of short technique videos. Few moves work out of the box independently of circumstances. If you know your shit kind of, you can maybe put it in the right context and make sense of it, but for most people, concept based stuff a la Ryan Hall or a human instructor giving feedback is probably better.
