I just love this lady read her story about what America tried to do to her and she quit opened her own record label KONICHIWA records so she could sing what she wanted to sing and run it her way and has never looked back HALL OF FAME MATERIAL RIGHT HERE
Robyn had the guts to go her own way after the path the music industry walked her down didn’t work out. Her sound is her own and her music is iconic. Look at the joy in that crowd. Epic.
This made me cry hard. THE AUDIENCE OMFG. This song came out when I had my my heart broken the very first time and I literally felt the crowd energy listening to it. SO EMOTIONAL 💗😭
This song will forever remain in my playlist. Such a great beat. The lirics, who can't relate to them? Robyn is such a great performer. Love her! I am so happy she is still performing!
Was at that concert and it was hands down the best Roskilde moment I´ve experienced. The unison and the sheer emotions of 70 000 people singing together, goosebumps!
anyone else notice how smoothly she signals to the the monitor sound technicians to cut the in-ear monitor feed from the epic crowd at 2:59? such a legend
@@grumpypandy8123 I'm guessing that the monitor mixer person raised the level of the recorded audience during the epic singalong 1st chorus at 0:57 (so she could hear it and vibe it), but then forgot to lower it when the song started again around 2:26, because it would have maybe overpowered her in-ear mix and made it harder for her to hear herself maybe? hahah
@@transitclubomg That is most likely what happened but with one small addition: They were all taken by surprise by the crowd actually overpowering the band's monitor audio :-) Hell, everyone at work on most of the main festival site had goosebumps even before the band paused. Epic night!
@@Accolonian Then how would you interpret her gestures at 2:57? She's looking off to the side of the stage, pointing to the audience, slits her throat with her finger and points back at the audience. Definitely the sound mix in her earpiece is off and she can't hear herself loud enough. At 3:47 you can see her trying to push it deeper into her ear.
@@luobomu9747 Yes, of cause she is. Because she is being drowned out. It's the same thing you are saying. Listen, the audience is singing very loud, so she tries to have them cut it out from her feedback. I don't know if they do or if its not enough, but she is drowned out again at 3:45. The issue doesn't start with the eat piece, but with the audience. That's why she smiles.
Metalhead here, who some how ended up here in my journeys on youtube-bingeing when I should go to sleep. Couldn't stop smiling when the whole crowd sung the verse, awesome stuff man!
I do not understand how this woman does not have millions of comments and reproductions in the original video, and is surpassed by a boy who goes to a talent show with this song and now is more seen than herself, I love her is fabulous I love this song
rewatching this again in dec 2020 makes me so emotional. I stood in line for hours to get into the pit for this concert. I lost my friend in the crowd, but bonded with new people while singing and crying. It was the best concert ive ever been to. Was supose to see her again this summer. Really hope she comes back to DK asap.
That must be the most amazing feeling! To have the roar of the crowd singing your song back to you... I love it, I just discovered this song and it quickly moved to front of the rotation.
Absolutely stunning performance filled with emotion. Well done Robyn, the Band and your thousands of back-up Singers. Absolutely outstanding. What a gift for the World.
Jus saw her for the 1st time @ Austin City Limits on Sunday and the crowd was basically a mirror image of this. There were sooooo many ppl! This chick can move & sing & command an audience. She was definitely one of the highlights of the entire weekend 👏
The real answer is because this is at a festival, not a single concert. People are typically there for an entire week in tents and don't want to waste all their battery on one concert
It's Roskilde Music Festival, Denmark. Think Woodstock, except Roskilde is exciting every year. It's not only a number of great acts, up-comers and oldies; It's also a party, a statement, nostalgia, tradition, and curiosity. All artists should try it at least once
I can't get tired of seeing her, she's the best singer I've seen so far In this time of quarantine here in Brazil, let's give her due value to Robyn, she is above all. I love you
Fantastic concert. I was there with my daughter. Never ever experienced such a crowd . I'm not particularly a Robyn fan but this evening was magic . My daughter was screaming her out her good heart . Love was in the air for sure ❤❤
I worked at the Festival that year. I worked at a tent company in Hedehusene, just outside Roskilde. We were there about two weeks before it opened for the Festival people. 80 plus white tents in different sizes all around the field, including those behind the Orange stage. It was awesome being on the field working and seeing the hole Festival build up. After the Festival ended I worked again to take all our tents down. Awesome experience that I would love to do again. Love and peace everyone! 👍💪🇩🇰🇩🇰🍻
Normally I listen to hard rock and heavy metal, but I have to bow my head and say that Robyn is my guilty pleasure. She's a fantastic performer and a beautiful woman.
What a chilling comment that has the feeling I always had as a heavy metal and rock fan... Robyn's Dancing On My Own has more power as well as sentiments than any other song.
I’ve been listening to Robyn since I was in elementary finally got to see her live at 23 and I get to see her live next month at the age of 30. I’m so happy she kept doing music long enough for me to have those opportunities.
Grumpy Pandy that’s exactly why I bought weekend 2 tickets lol. The first time I saw her she opened for Coldplay and no one knew who she was but this song came out and they all got hyped. Her power
This is a SHOW if I've ever seen one. Corona killed special moments like this when everyone around you sang the same song to an icon and you all shared the experience.
Man she is such a great performer. She deserved to be even more famous than she was and this song should never be slowed down, it makes more sense the proper way.
CALCIUM WHO? been stanning this Queen since 2007. i know she is been in the game back in 90s..but her self title album ROBYN and the undercut edgy haircut got me hooked back in 2007. and then BODY TALK was released in 2010/2011..SO ICONIC! love you Robyn im from the Philippines. ❤
@@28FlyingDutchman Nah, she just look really really happy that she is there and can sing along. Singing into a lightbulb is 100 times better than standing with your phone.
