Roc should’ve had Eiht on On The Run instead of Jay Worthy. Worthy’s verse is terrible. That beat was suitable for an Eiht verse though. Would have been incredible.
The Don Roc Marciano who is from Strong Island NY the home of Rakim, EPMD, Dela Soul, public Enemy, Craig Mack , Keith Murray, Grand Daddy IU, Method Man, K Solo, Prodigy from Noob Deep , Ashanti, Doctor J, Jim Brown and the Don Roc Marciano

Roc the truth …Opened up doors for that new Boom Bap…….A lot of artists benefited from his vision…Ransom definitely took that game and took his greatness to another level…..Ran is the G.O.A.T…… But Roc definitely gets his flowers for opening up that Dam
Nassau and suffolk County Long Island NY aka Strong Osland NY has spit out some iconic Hip Hop Actz and Roc Marcoano is one ajnd thats facts. Them ghetro surburbs of L.I. has spit out some cold Mcs and Roc Marciano is one.
Cuz is a Hog! I love this niggaz pen, he's one of them ones keeping Hip Hop Alive. Homie be talkin that lingo. Roc Marciano music done got me through a ton of shit, that's real.
5:28 Roc had his sound since 2010 way before NY drill. NY artists was making Trap. Ultimately we should be crediting Wu with this sound a credit Roc for reviving it
Nah Roc made his own lane with the sound fr. All those songs you here nowadays where the drums are real low or non existent Roc started that I could be wrong but I didn't here it anywhere else. Wu Tang was something different altogether
Thank you great brothers for inviting one of the best Emcees in the game at this point. Roc Marci is a genius when it comes to spitting bars and painting vivid art in his music.
It's not like busta never tries to give a platform to his artists, the Flipmode album is fantastic, Rah Digga of course is a great example. The main problem was he didn't do what Dipset did, which was bring out the entourage albums independently.
This is a dope platform for Roc to speak. S/O to Bigg Steele and Eiht is a super OG and solidified legend! And STILL got heat now! Lol Salute and dope interview. Roc is the truth fr.
Great interview! Marcy that Dude; Conway tha machine said on record " that no one can fuck with him" ( Marcy) Dope stuff homies. Love ( pause) when the East and West link up. 💯
Let's goooooo!!!!! This guy has been in my top ten list(in no particular order) since Marcberg dropped all the years ago! I definitely appreciate this interview because he has not done many, Salute to Gangster Chronicles Podcast for this! London locked in!
Roc' inspired part of this new generation, he's a real MC. the world of Hip Hop needs to show him respect. Salute from an old head of Hip hop from Paris. Niklo93
Roc drops something almost every year , tho, either as a rapper or producer , Marciology this year , the Jay worthy album last year , Elephant mans bones the year before etc.
Marcberg is my alltime favorite album. As a lyricist myself, I commend Roc for all of his contributions and craft. Thank God For Roc Marci coming soon. A project I'm working on of my style over Roc Marci production and giving my flowers. I'm closer to an RJ Payne type of pen, but I'll have tons of easter eggs in there for my fellow Roc fans and the man himself. Also, I'll be using audio from interviews of other artists and Roc speaking on his tenure, grind, and analogies of navigating the business and not compromising your integrity as an artist. Thanks Roc
Also, Steele and Eiht, I appreciate you legendary brothers and what you've done for the advancement of hip hop. I'm from Baltimore, but I grew up on hip hop from the 80s, 90s, and funk. 3 masterful gentlemen we're still learning from.
My west coast dudes having roc on the show...I ain't see this coming.. roc is MAJOR underrated as a emcee and a producer...his bars are CRAZY...his beats are crazy as well
Yo roc is the truth… this man needs awards.. fuck are we talkin bout? Get this man in the hip hop hall of fame.. him and Sean p was the only ones really keeping it official and putting in the work for a long time
I hear what dude is saying but you don’t have to lock into your region’s sound. You can mix it up. Cube came with Bomb Squad production and that NY, Public Enemy mashup he was doing was the hard thing to ever come out of LA (and that’s saying a lot). EPMD and Masta Ace had a west coast funk in the early/mid 90s and it was hard. 50 Cent was doing Scarface like stuff in the early 2000 and almost ended the career of one of the biggest stars of the time.
Yep..They are the time capsule for NY Rap... They didn't run with the southern sound when it was popular. Sean Price ( R.I.P) and Roc also kept the fire burning for the sound.
