My brain knew there was a reason of us not being together and I just want to find it. This line resonates so much with me that I can't even explain and due to this I behave so weirdly which leads my partner to being sad or angry or upset. This ROCD thing is possible one of the worst things any person could ever experience.

It feel so amazing and peaceful when you start to recover… There is a so deep connection to my partner now. I struggled with ROCD for 1 year and healed on my own :) .. I believe in you :)

I love your engagement story. “Put it on or give it back!” Lol it helps me see the humor and the silliness of ROCD. It seems so normal. On the other hand, my engagement was also painful and I wished I had felt more excitement.

Thanks so much for sharing this! Really helpful and relatable - I definitely experience the fear of missing out on other people and the fun I “should” be having in my 30s instead of being a relationship. I also appreciate the honesty about crushes! That’s another massive trigger for me

Wow this resonated so much with me. Fear of missing out is killer. I just want to be IN the moment again with my boyfriend so we can get married, not tormented by these thoughts

Your videos have been so helpful to me! I discovered this channel about a month ago. I’ve been struggling for 2 years with what I now believe is severe ROCD. I recently got engaged and am now planning a wedding & honeymoon. It’s been so hard, I’m so far down the rabbit hole of ROCD that it feels hopeless. This channel is helping me learn more about this disorder though. I hope one day I can be unbothered by this disorder like you.

If I had known this before letting go of someone I loved 😭. I miss him.

Hi Jade, thanks for this viseo. I've been in touch with you before regarding marketing and have just been diagnosed with R-OCD so it was a (pleasant!) surprise to see a familiar face when researching strategies. I'm so relieved now I know what the issue is and can start trying to manage it.

You look beautiful Jade and from seeing your videos it's evident that you've progressed so well in your journey! Thank you for the realness based on crushes and infidelity as this is not the be all and end all in a relationship.

Hi jade, can I get better by doing exposures on my own or do you think ocd therapy is a must? I'm not diagnosed but I know I have rocd. Talk therapy didn't do much.
@aguywhohikes1271
@aguywhohikes1271 Год назад
Hey Melissa. Anyone can recover on their own, but it's quite difficult to see all the ins and outs of the journey. One minute the person feels like they've made progress and two seconds later like they can never recover.

@@aguywhohikes1271 hey, yeah thats how I feel. Much better in some ways but also still a frequent feeling I suffer with, I'm slowly changing how I react to such thoughts and feelings and sitting with the discomfort, this seems to be the biggest turning point... I am also having IFS therapy now, hoping that will help. 😊🤞 Thank you for your reply

Hi Melissa, in my experience having specialist ocd support helped much more than on my own. Talking therapy made me worse if anything so it sounds like it would be good to have some help with someone, I can highly recommend the team at ocd recovery.

@@jadet1337 thank you. I'm not sure if I have ocd or anxiety at this point, does it require the same treatment?
@jadet1337
@jadet1337 Год назад
@@melissarose2311 you’d have to get the opinion of a specialist who has knowledge of both ocd and anxiety but I’d say the tools i used for ocd applied to my anxiety too 💗 I have never been formally diagnosed by the way x

ROCD is tricky because it is one of the themes that has a lot of unhelpful advice floating around. people are so quick to judge. thank you so much for sharing with us

Really appreciate your honesty on your infidelity, I commented previously about my own infidelity. I kept it secret for about 2 years out of shame and fear of my partner leaving. I think I feel more guilt for keeping it to myself than the act itself, OCD really is a strange disorder. Thanks again Jade

With me i dont confess or talk about anything. If there are things that i am suspicious about i keep it in. Is she suppose to know my symptoms or my thoughts?

Hey Andros, I feel bad not answering directly your question but I think your ocd is wanting certainty of the best thing to do. I recommend sitting with the discomfort on that one. Jade
