Wow. I could never do this, I could probably do the actually drumming with sticks, but the pedal with the foot would confuse me so much. My foot has no coordination, I would find the notes where you alternate hands and feet too confusing.

Portnoy essentially mastered the Rev's demos for the songs. The Rev did everything except some subtle nuances and fills that he would've done when they were actually recording the album. The drummer you hear in all the songs is Portnoy :-) He just wrote very few parts for the album.

Yup. That's how the difficulty goes. Easy, they don't expect you to be anywhere near good or have limb independence. Medium, they expect you to have a degree of limb independence and keep the rhythm. Huge jump there. Hard, they expect full limb independence and decent drumming ability. Expert, they expect awesome. Huge jumps everywhere, unlike Guitar, where there's small jumps and one big one between Medium and Hard.

If he's that coordinated to do this well in RB, then he'd probably be pretty decent with real drums. Good work mate

@devanwelch56 thats the difference between rock band drums and guitar, the guitar is nothing like a real guitar, but a drum is exactly the same concept of a real drum.

@02danielc he did the demo for this song and did do the drums for the song fiction thats on the album and im pretty sure he did help to write the songs just not when they were recording them

real: may change the toms and cymbals, difference between hard and soft, more toms and cymbals game: everything has to be directly at time and the exact note everything just as hard hitting.

And then there's that expert jump on guitar. Going all over the place.... then again, I just went to expert after medium.

god damn you know i really like the drums and i kinda play along to the videos and i got rock band 4 for Christmas was pretty good but i have a new found respect for people who play a7x songs on expect and get fc on then cause i got all the elf a7x songs on rockband 4 and they're hard as Shit so good for man great video

@suspectedmesa It's just you. Yes, they are both metal singers, but James Hetfield has a different timbre and generally uses a lower vocal range than M. Shadows. On the other hand... absolutely phenomenal job, especially with that bass.

How could you not give this a thumbs up. He knocks it out of the park! This is some damn good drumming here. Of course I dont know jack about playing the drums, or how close doing it on Rock Band is to the real thing. But he does awesome and makes it look super easy.

Great job fun to watch people beast it up, although listening to this song really makes me wish they had some sort of option that allows you to buy uncensored versions of songs, this and like rage songs would sound so much more epic if they werent censored =)

its all about practice , its not worth to jump straight to expert with hands only , i also had bad sync with hands and legs before i bought guitar hero , but then i just started easy medium hard and thats the only way to get it.. playing now on expert and on my way to double bass expert+ :>
