Feelin' Alright - Traffic
VERY cool developments in the Rock Band preservation and modding scene have happened in this past week. Long story short, a Wii development kit with 5 early debug builds of Rock Band 3 on it was listed on Ebay. A group of people affiliated with MiloHax banded together to collectively fund the purchase of this console for preservation of these early builds, and to help further development of RB3Enhanced, RB3 Deluxe, and the Rock Band 3 decompilation project. Seriously cool stuff will come from this.
This is just one cool discovery from one of the builds - a cancelled song that never saw the light of day, neither on disc or as DLC. This kinda shit is right up my alley. There were a few other songs on this build that were unique in one way or another, and I will be uploading more videos from this absolute holy grail treasure trove of Rock Band content.

It was so hype seeing that original video that uncovered a bunch of early Rock Band 3 builds. I *live* for never-before-seen early builds of my favorite games.

Milohax had to traverse a lot of Traffic to uncover this. Also, that voice-over on the results screen sounded like it was from a fighting game.

DIED 2024 - BORN 2024 Welcome back *Rock Band DLC* First we get the Guitar Hero 1 and 80s prototypes and then within about a week of each other we get Rock Band 2 AND 3 as well?? I'm very excited to see what's inside these things, the cut version of Black Magic Woman that includes Gypsy Queen is another highlight.

I think Gypsy queen was cut due to the person who wrote it (Gábor Szabó) not wanting to lincesnce it or something (Black Magic Woman was written by Peter Green).

Oh lord this did not look like a fun time on guitar. Nonetheless it’s cool to see more cutting room floor content from songs that never saw the light of day. It can join Bug Eyes, Black Dog, and that weird Frankenstein WT medley in rhythm gaming heaven.

Crazy that the RB3 Wii prototype looks a million times better than the actual RB3 Wii. I guess the performance issues can explain why!

The oddest thing that sticks out to me is the lack of drum animations, as Magma autogenerates them. Either that or they never set a [play] event for the drummer. Another thing is the almost complete lack of yellow notes.

I grew up with the Wii version of Rock Band 3, so seeing this beta looking like the PS2 versions of Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero is wild to me.

The guitar chart you can tell didn't have too much refinement, I feel like it wouldn't have been this basic in all actuality

So, this song was originally set to be in RB3 but it was cut from the final release? Can’t say I’ve ever heard it before. But then again, for a lot of titles in Rock Band, I guess I probably hadn’t heard of a lot of the songs until I actually played the game.
