**This was done with a GH5 guitar btw, so as far as I am concerned I can't change pedal effects. Please let me know if there's a way for me too if there is! if not, then rock on with your RB Guitar! :)

The freestyle solo mode in RB4 is honestly my favorite new feature in the game. It even makes non-party friendly songs such as TTFAF's potential to be played during parties because of how much time you have to shred! Also you get a SHIT TON of points during and after the solos! I highly suggest trying this feature out with some of your favorite songs =)
Funny enough My score is on the leaderboards even though it was done under this mode...weird.

Look, Rock Band, that does not work. Solos can't just be randomly generated - they completely lack any kind of expression or quality. I literally laughed when i heard the first one (not because of his playing, but because of the notes the game used).

I mean, it does work so long as the game understands what key the song is in, and what chords it goes through. From there, interpreting sequences of button presses into tonally adequate sequences of notes is totally possible.

I think it's player improvisation, rather than being randomly generated by the game? The "complete lack of any kind of expression or quality" is in that case based on the players improv skills, rather than the game ^^ Although the sound quality during the solo was horrible..

It's kinda like custom drum fills, it's pretty hard to make it sound good but generally more fun (and easier) to play.

One of these days I'm gonna sit down and learn how to play the intro correctly. Maybe. Nah, too out of practice (aka LAZY) lol I've pretty much given up on ever playing Dragonforce songs good enough to get more than 3 stars without using Freestyle solos. Forget GH3; I've been playing this on it recently and have actually gotten worse.

+edwardelric880 The easiest way to get the intro is to hold down the green fret and to just focus on the rest of the notes with your other fingers and/or your other hand. I believe there's some tuts out there as well for the intro.

+chris ebbs I love the freestyle solos. Usually when I play they sound, in my opinion, quite good. I don't feel like freestyle solos are optimized for songs like this, but for more "relaxed" songs they can sound really good.

+Sora Heartless close, but not quite. harmonix already existed and made guitar hero 1, 2, and 80s, then the guitar hero license was bought from them by activision. eventually harmonix decided to just make rock band instead.
