ROCK BOUNCER vs ROCK CRAWLER KOH Shootout 2018 - Rock Rods Ep 51 

Both are entertaining in their own right, you have to admit, Iron Man crawling that hill was pretty cool to watch. That being said, I've spent many hours watching TC and Bobby and the rest of the gang. Thanks for bringing us some great coverage.

Great video! It is made all the better by posting the driver's name and class at the beginning, followed by posting the time and ranking on a leaderboard. Thanks for the effort! Seeing Tanner in the competition, I figured it was 'Game Over'. But even he was beat by fellow bouncer Selden. What distinctions exist between the two classes? It appears that both Bouncer and Ultra4 permit pretty much the same engine, tube chassis, King shocks, beadlockers and axles (including independent suspension, if one elects for it). Aside from the inclusion of body panels on the Ultra4, and maybe bigger tires on the Bouncers, they seem VERY similar.

much as I love watching the bouncers hammer and flail (so awesomely!) there's no doubt a crawler can have some real advantages getting into places.

I'm partial to crawlers but love watching them both.

I think the rock bouncers could have done it no problem. But the rock crawlers definitely have their place as well. They're both fun to watch but definitely rock bouncers is where it's that for me I watch them everyday. As well as the super trucks. May God-bless these sports forever more.

Saw it live... awesome video but still does not do that hill justice. It was unbelievable to see the climb with my own eyes. There was one more crawler who followed almost the exact same line and made it up. The earlier rock bouncer was very close. If he didn’t lose his front axle he may have made it.

Sooo are we comparing apples to oranges again? In that case, right at the moment, it feels like a crawler kind of moment. Especially since the course was clearly a crawler course. But proper crawling should be done ultra slowly anyhow, and the point is not to loose traction, as you inch over an obstacle. Not race over the obstacle, since you are no longer crawling, but bouncing at that point. Anyhow, I think they should invite the crawlers over to some Tennessee hills, and see how they do there. Or put them all into the Baja 2000, and see how they fair against a trophy truck. Or how about some sand dunes? Wait I know.....a mud pit, against a mud truck. Now we are talkin' ....Next show, they will compare helicopters to jet fighters. And space shuttles to submarines. And see which is better.
