We all know what the candy represents 😀 "romance, candy, rock and roll" the pg version. I'm not sure about the inclusion of blood donation though, blood wasn't as thoroughly tested back then.

11:04 I don't think you can stay in the same spot and take the action twice with sugar? Rulebook P20,paragraph 1:“Additionally, while other actions may only be taken once during a given phase, Anytime Actions (other than Work) may be taken multiple times if you have extra actions available (except that you may not Work twice in the same round).” So it seems to me that only “Anytime actions” can be done twice with sugar in the same phase.
11:05 While I happen to agree with your interpretation of the rules as written, I would like to point out over on BGG, the designer has clarified how Candy is used. She is saying that you are not allowed to take the same action twice in the same turn, that you must move to another space. Check the pinned thread for the Rules Errata and FAQ in the BGG forums. I understand your rules video was checked out by the designer and the publisher, but the fact that the rules say nothing about restricting the use of Candy in this way, and the designer saying that there is this restriction is causing a lot of confusion over on BGG. This is not your fault of course.
Question . Can I do candy before the after hours phase and visit 2 hangouts? Also we played 9 months and neither of us had enough points to win. Can you just start the next round in April? 9 rounds seem a little short for two players. Oh wait we just recounted and missed some bonus points. I’m well over 50 at the end. BUT it does seem like if you want to keep playing just start in April again….
Yes, you can use candy to visit two hangouts (as long as each is open or you otherwise have the ability to go there). However, you only get the hot hangout bonus from the last place you visit. The game is over at the end of December even if no one has reached 50 points. If someone reaches 50 points during an earlier round (not counting any fame you get from royalties during clean-up), though, the game is over at the end of that round.
