This is the only channel that I've come across that showed you how to properly decompress the spring for cleaning. Very nice and thank you for the info!
Great video, I just bought one of these a couple of months ago. I like how it shoots, but the documentation wasn't fully clear on the take down, your video cleared up questions I had.
Thank you for making this video. I have a set of these, we lovingly we call the twins. It has been a pain to figure out this take down. I don't understand why they didn't come with the tool.
it has a bushing just not a standard 1911 one if anyone has one like i did if the ajustable sight will not hold zero switch to a fixed novak sight big difference
Maybe just lock the gun open, slide lock on an empty gun, mag removed and blow out the gun with brake cleaner or gun blaster aerosol product that is fast drying. No fiddley tools. Brush and wipe the bore. Just wipe it all down and lubricate the hell out of the slide/frame rails, and action, with the gun still assembled, and call it good. Reload. Get back into the gun fight.
This is so wonky. I'll never understand why they didn't just put a standard bushing on it. Any supposed advantage offered by the bushingless bull barrel is negated by the necessity of a tool to take apart a defensive arm for basic maintenance. The RIA would check all the boxes for me if I didn't have to mess around with this Mickey Mouse shit to take it apart. That's a deal breaker.
