Ppl keep sayin Tom Cruise is a terrible singer...sorry ppl if you know anything about music, he is hitting those notes pretty spot on!! You might not like his sound from his voice, but the man is singing very well actually.
@@sucia1984What is ‘auto tune’ ? I don’t understand what that is or means? Can you please explain, elaborate and/or clarify what this ‘auto tune’ means please?
@@sucia1984 I'm an audio engineer. His voice was not autotuned. Thats *him.* Once you hear it in post, you'll never forget it. It has a slight robotic sound (not the exaggerating one people hear nowadays), and you cant miss it once you hear it a couple of times. Hus voice did get digitally cleaned up, but everyone who records does that. But there's no auto tune I can hear.
It's true, he does. And at least Mickey Rourke was genuinely hot before he fucked up his face boxing. He had charisma too, whereas Cruise is just a bland, control freak and egomaniac, lol.
Clearly Mickey R hasn't seen tropic thunder, taps, Legend, young guns, Vanilla Sky, the difference between MI-1 and MI-7 and the evolution of the character, Mickey R was awesome in Angel Heart fact
This role took FAR MORE BRAVERY than ANY of the other stunts he's done. With the possible exception of the 6 minute breathe hold under water. I mean just in terms of human phycoligy where people would rather burn to death than speak in front of a large group let alone sing. It's the number one fear people list the second is drowning. drowning
Lyrics It's all the same, only the names will change Everyday it seems we're wasting away Another place where the faces are so cold I'd drive all night Just to get back home I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride I'm wanted dead or alive Wanted dead or alive Sometimes I sleep, sometimes it's not for days And people I meet always go their separate ways Sometimes you tell the day By the bottle that you drink And times when you're all alone all you do is think I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride I'm wanted dead or alive Wanted dead or alive I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride I'm wanted dead or alive Wanted dead or alive I walk these streets, a loaded six string on my back I play for keeps, 'cause I might not make it back I been everywhere, still I'm standing tall I've seen a million faces And I've rocked them all I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride I'm wanted dead or alive I'm a cowboy, I got the night on my side I'm wanted dead or alive Wanted dead or alive
I don’t think there is anything Tom can’t do. He can sing, fly planes, helicopters, skydive, speed fly, motocross, etc. this wasn’t my favorite movie but he carried it tbh
He is actually Smart, also a Rich Celebrity, hanging on the side of a Plane, climbing the world's tallest building, he could run Pure Speed on a Mile, eats Healthy too, does Exercises, he likes to be curious, pragmatic, and even confident, and brave. He might be unpredictable, and spontaneous, but he is actually often quiet, choosing to think, and process information internally. Those are even more Stuff that he may do! By: Dr. MEDO8!
I see a lot of nasty remarks on here, I guess it's okay when other groups go nuts. Personally I was impressed that he could sing. Just another side to his talent.
Say what want you want about this movie (personally liked it but I absolutely understand the mixed reception), but you’re lying if you claim Cruise didn’t kill it
Me too, man, I love this Movie, I am with you at all times, I agree with you, I got you Cowboy, you are not Alone just to let you know, Peace, and Rock! By: Dr. MEDO8!
@@Runc1eManwell I have to thank the this movie to introducing me to 80’s rock music because I was actually a 2000’s kid who, at the time of this movie’s release, wasn’t very familiar with epic artists from that era (like Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Twisted Sister, Scorpions, Pat Benatar etc.). I knew some 80’s songs, but not a lot. This movie made me “explore” that era more (I know many many many more 80’s rock songs now); and I’m *positive* the 80’s was the best decade for music
I have noticed the rest of the ROA soundtrack songs are on Amazon unlimited music and RU-vid music but none of Toms songs. Must be to do with his contract?
You know, I understand some of the and all that, but what the fuck I mean come on this man so potent a woman literally passed out right in front of him before he went backstage into you know the big room where the bands go and wait for to get on stage and I don’t blame them Holy shit this man is pure ass hot wow
Bjos.
You should be kicked out of jersey for even saying that. This version was okay but lacks the soul from Richie and the rest. This is cover band material nothing more.

Yep, but per Tom's usual antics, he manipulates and throws tantrums in order to shoe horn himself into roles meant for others. So many roles that weren't for him that could've truly been iconic had the right actors played the parts. Tom didn't care what it took, he knew if he had certain roles in his back pocket it would help him appear to be something he most definitely wasn't... it's easy to believe the fallacy when you're watching these films from a historical perspective. If you were living in the era that the movie was made, you would understand how disappointed most people felt seeing him cast in roles we were excited to see different and better actors play in. It happened repeatedly with the help of the Scientology cult and Tom's knack for behind the scenes politics. That was TC's real talent, the politics of Hollywood.
@@swampwitch9939 What planet are you living on? He was apparently asked by Adam Shanklin to do this film and wasn't sure about it but took voice and guitar lessons and put in the work to make the character believable - as he always does. It's okay to not like him but there's no denying the talent he has as an actor. Have you watched Rain Man, The Last Samurai, The Firm, Minority Report, A Few Good Men? So many films that he was perfectly cast in, even aside from the Mission films. He's turned down roles that went on to become iconic, as has Johnny Depp, another amazing actor.
He is a great singer for Rock Music, you shall be wanted Dead or Alive now brother, and not forgivened! 1950s-1990s Rock, and Rock N Roll Songs are the best! By: Dr. MEDO8!
He isn’t terrible. He is really, really good! And pulls it off well. But singing massive rock hits and music that people have such high expectations for already and requires the best of the best is a challenge for anyone. To get a fitting actor who can pull of the character and sing 10/10 is difficult. Also, someone hitting the notes and all, you could say can “sing”, but having a pleasant and appealing voice is another part of it all I guess!
Watched this GARBAGE from beginning to end. The whole thing was an EMBARRASSMENT!! The only good thing was to see Tom Cruise. Nice looking man. All performances sucked. Tom was awesome in Born on the Fourth of July and Rainman.
lets flip it all over - the first Movies = actually the most wanted Films by our parents?? Nowadays - This man does every Stunt on his own - since more than 10 years - SHOW SOME RESPECT MAN
@@SajmVEnry Lmao, no, he is pompous, arrogant, and overrated. I couldn't care less whether he chooses to do his own stunts, that is more a testament to his ego and his issues with control than anything else. I don't idolize actors, especially cheezy subpar actors like Cruise. I hate when there is a movie I've anticipated being made and then it is announced he has been chosen for the role. I rarely watch his films because he's so flat and one-dimensional. Plus, his overblown ego is always the dominant trait in every role.
The Rock of Ages (2012) on 1987 was a Legend Man, man I wish Stacy Jacks was real, and I hate people saying that the Rock Music is from the Devil, and it is bad for kids but no, Rock Music is for everybody, and it is not always satanic, just hear the good Rock Music, and I love Rock Music like I am a fan of of 1950s-1990s Rock, and Rock N Roll Songs! Such as Nirvana, ACDC, Pantera (Panther) in English, Beastie Boys, Ramones, System of a down, Queen, Deff Leppard, Twisted Sister, Kiss, Guns N’ 🥀 Roses, Metallica, Van Halen, Coldplay, Skullflower, the Outfield, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Elvis Prestley, Bill Haley, and his Comets, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Bon Jovi, Gorillaz, Electric Light Orchestra, Journey, Mago de Oz which is Wizard of Oz on Spanish, Rata Blanca which is White Rat on Spanish, and Dire Straits fan! And even Stacee Jacks! And more great legend Rock Songs!
