I like the guitar solo's from the piano bench and on top of the piano, so simple yet a strong rock statement. Very good power ballad to help show off their versatility as a group.
I had chills from the moment Jayoung hit the first keys on the piano. In this song every one of them plays superb. This is not a cover, this is a ‘REMAKE’ in every sense. The guitar solos although completely different between Iree and Hyunjung in style and tone, still both suit the song perfectly. Jajoung’s vocals are unreal. Her voice with that tiny bit of grit is perfect for rock. To top it up, her vocal improv towards the end is probably the absolute best I heard for many years. They deserve the world.
Look at the credits at the end. At the bottom you will see the writer of this song. He is sitting there listening. The original group's name is there as well. Think of them as the BeeGees of SK. Sadly, one of them died here in Canada in an Industrial accident. Such an emotional tribute!
Its not "Fearless" and it will never make the same numbers ... I'll lump it in with Azalea and maybe even Random as a ballad-ey song done really well. I think most people drawn to this band are here for the up-tempo songs, however this really shows versatility and that a band does not have to be one sided. RQ does a LOT of things very well and they can definitely turn out a great power ballad with their own rock twist.
