I just find it weird that all these curly hair experts have straight or slightly wavy hair. Now it's not to say that they can't do curly hair but if you live with it everyday, I don't care what school or what book you've read, it just doesn't amount to the same amount of knowledge. Just an opinion :)
The pictures of their work don't lie. Iced been going to Nevila for a few years now and can say she's the only person I trust to touch my hair. Also look up The Mona Cut. As long as they know about my hair and keeping it looking healthy. It doesn't matter what texture they have. Just my humble opinion.
One of the top extension specialists in my area is a bald headed man and he travels around the island educating others , he was told he wouldn't gain credibility as a hair stylist because he had no hair. Goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover. As long as you have passion for what you do you can do amazing things as these artists have shown.
Not a fair statement, it just depends on the stylist. We shouldn’t judge based on our differences. I had a Diva cut by 2 different professional stylists in the DMV area where I live. One is the same as I am, of black descent, and the other is a natural curly as well, and I’ll never go back. My 3rd cut was done by Nevila in NY, and I’ll be going back when this Coronavirus pandemic is over. Peace and Blessings!
