I dedicate this song to the love of my life Elizabeth Rodriguez.... She didn't know how much I loved her for a very long time and I tried to find her and I couldn't find her and when I miss her, I always listen to the music that helped bring us together and kept us warm when we were apart..
Wow this song gives me chills. This was the party anthem back in the day. I met rockell at the ampitheater in ybor city in fla. I was dj 'ing and man I went though hell to get this on vinyl. I paid $100 for the original press. Worth every single cent!!!
This song just played in my head out of nowhere, it’s been about 15 years since I’ve heard this. I used to hear it all the time at the skating rink I used to go to every weekend. The song used to make me move, made me want to dance, made me feel bouncy lol. I never knew the name but I’m happy I remembered some of the lyrics to be able to find it.
Absolutely fantastic. Song by Rockell and dance videos by K-pop star BoA. A perfect match, only wish the video quality was better. It is 2017 and this song will never get old.
Freestyle was introduced to me when i was probably five by my parents. Im so thankful for that because i can escape from all the shitty music on the radio and go back to a time when music was at its peak!
seen her and lil Suzy in Detroit a about 3-4 year's ago!!! great show! wish they come back!!! southwest Detroit loves Latin freestyle! #classic.#musicismyvoice
still diggin this and it's 2017!!! damn i miss the good old days. getn my license when i turned 16 back in 2001, drivin down to socal in my mom's 93 honda accord, LA traffic, windows down, AC blastin, headin to Hot Import Nights! hahahahah. hella nostalgic right now!
Met Rockell in Tampa at the record store right when this came out. . . 1st time I heard it, knew it was going to be huge. Congrats on still being a hit in 2015.
Freestyle music has and still is damn excellent music to me to this day! So many talented women and men sang, produced, remixed, and played the music for so many freestyle timeless classics! Those were very good days and nights.
Such a great song. Brings back so many great memories of my club days. I miss those days so much. Met so many great people and love and miss the atmosphere. 80s and 90s freestyle will always be the best.
Great song. Great freestyle music. Legacy of the 80s and 90s. It was a better time in one sense. People had to be more physical in art, music, and dance. No living vicariously through social and online media. So they crank out junk now. A lot of kids can't dance. Nor can deal with each other directly as well as through person. I wish this kinda music would make a comeback.
Love this song. Always takes me back to my high school days when my friends and I gathered in a classroom and break danced. We called our selves UCB(Upper Class Breakers). The good ole days.
I love the 80's freestyle, lets keep it alive. Put full sound stereos on the cars, share with the new generations they love it,,,my sister knows this songs because of me. Lets share and make this style come back!! True this is great music.. so style!!
Early 2017 Edit: Some people seem somehow confused by the above. If you read the comments to this video, people seem, well, confused as to why the song doesn't match. This comment explains why. It's written as a proper explanation of what's going on here. If that's too confusing, well, not my problem. ----- Shit, it's almost 2016 and people still don't pay attention, or have the ability to figure out what is going on here? Right, let me explain: The song is "In a Dream" by the music artist "Rockell" The video is made up of clips from the music videos to various songs by "BoA" (Boa Kwon), a South Korean pop star who rose to fame in the early 2000's while she was still in her early teens. So, the song is from one source, the video is from an entirely different source. The person who made the video decided to fuse the clips, and this was the result. This educational moment brought to you by your friend Chris.
This video is insanely nostalgic for me because I found it when I was like 11 and now Im about to turn 22. I was obsessed with this video as a kid. For some reason I thought BoA was the singer when I was younger😂😂 quickly realized I was wrong but I am a BoA fan regardless
My uncle used to DJ play this type of music so I pretend sing this song to make him laugh abt old school music. A lot of NY ricans luv this song lol its grown on me now too.
the 80s -90s were nice bboying and battle rapping was the shit.i was only a couple of years old but i remember the originality in everything!im a 80s baby raised in the 90s.stuff has definitely changed but music like this will always bring back memories!
TyTimeIsAwesome hahaha yes! i remember my brothers would gather all their friends over and go down the basement with a cardboard and break dance to this. #memories
A little music history lesson : It's actually Emotion in Motion's song. Josette recorded it in 1996 with help from Wild 94.9 in the bay area, it became a hit. Rockell then covered it in 1997 and took it further than before.
thank God Rockell covered it! I just searched and heard Emotion in Motion's version and damn, the beat sounds slightly better, but anything else being better in the original version ends there! It's no wonder no one remembers the original version, anyone who does will want to forget it! I know I do!
I probably first heard this song due to my sister back when I was a kid. I'm 30 now and I come back here because i literally dreamt about this song, woke up and had to hear it.
