I also really liked the way u filed and presented this bud with the lyrics and going through each song and discussing them as opposed to these other reaction channels that just Bob their head and go on to the next song. I also really liked the long style of video because it allows you to fully develop ideas and thoughts about the album. Congrats on 50k man! Melt My Eyez is beautiful. The more I’ve listened over the past couple weeks, the heavier the topics on this album felt. John Wayne has quickly became one of my fav Denzel Curry tracks. I really started thinking about it and now the track literally brings me to tears. The lyrics are so real and his delivery seems mad but he’s not yelling and the beat felt eerie and spacious but there was a lot going on at the same time. Even if you ended up doing reactions to singles during the rollout, I’d imagine that hearing the songs in the context of the album could dramatically change how you perceive them. This is especially true for someone like Kendrick. i was a single that sounded very different on the album for example. Also you’re unconsciously familiar with Robert Glasper, he’s a piano player and he played a lot of the crazy piano stuff you heard on To Pimp A Butterfly .

What I noticed and think is so clever is that on Mental Saul Williams says "Repetitive gunfire got bass in it, but the cries drowned it out" and "Sorrow streamlined into story dancing alone in front of speakers my whole life", he is painting the picture of dancing while listening to music on a destroyed speaker while all these massacres are happening, and on the next track, Troubles, the hook is distorted and sounds like it's playing from a destroyed speaker. Troubles didn't fit on the album for me before I realized this, it's like that song is a break from all the horrible shit going on in the world.

U need to do faces by mac miller, it's my fav mixtape of all time. It's on streaming services but it's missing a lot of samples so i'd recommend listening to the mixtape version and once u finish it, go listen to the bonus track added at the end of the streaming services version titled "Yeah", it's just so good

He said he wants to do Swimming but he should really start with an earlier project since one of the best things about Swimming is how much he evolved in his sound and how mature he got in a short time

I think you should listen to singles right when they come out and then listen again on the actual album reaction, it’s always fun to see how your opinions change over time and can be a great predictor of how the album will age

React to Billy Woods and Preservation Aethiopes, Billy Woods propably the greatest Alive alongside Elucid and very few others speaking that conscious abstract rap/ hip hop experimental , new album Just dropped. Don't miss them aka Armand Hammer

Mindblowing. Definitely the greatest alive, there’s hardly even an argument for otherwise, but his greatness isn’t even the point, the music is just so important. Him and Moor Mother are my favorite artists. Bob, you’ll wanna react asap

I really loved this album front to back too, and now watching your reactions and commentary, I’ve confirmed that I think this is album of year. This is the best writing I’ve heard from him and he brings something different in each track to the overarching theme of “melting your eyes”.

Rico Nasty had the best verse on the album, and my favorite songs are The Ills, Angelz and Melt Session. Saul Williams is also a really really great artist, any fan of rage against the machine or any revolutionary leaning lyrics (Saul Williams is even more), would love his album MartyrLoserKing. 30 minutes left in the video but. Billy Woods of Armand Hammer released a truly incredible album last night called Aethiopes, and it features El-P of Run The Jewels too. The production is outstanding and his lyrics are way more amazing than anything you’ve heard yet (even Andre, DOOM, Kendrick), and the sound is something you haven’t heard. Theres so much to look into in his lyrics, and a lot of people who know Armand Hammer agree that hes the best rapper of all time. I strongly, strongly suggest either going straight to the album or playing Armand Hammer - Haram then onto this (though Billy Woods & Moor Mother - BRASS is a mustlisten too, and he has more incredible albums). I’ll give a couple random previews of his lyrics just for an idea: From Haram: “The pavement gave way to a thicket of thorns where the body lay naked as the day I was born” From the new album Aethiopes: “Asleep at the wheel Gently over the guardrail, flipped heads or tails One died, she survived Asked her why, I replied, ‘God's not real’” From Haram: “MPC Brooklyn, the rats is gorgin Kill one, only bring more and more like dead explorers I put a hole in Indiana Jones’ fedora” (for Dora) These still give you no idea at all of how great he is lyrically. Him and Moor Mother are my two favorite artists and i really really hope you react to Armand Hammer /billy woods soon. Even sonically its mindblowing. There’s a lot of abstract and free jazz in it but even then, the sound can’t be described
