Rocket Summer 2024: Mission of Gravity! 

This is one of my all time favourite sci-fi novels. I quickly get lost in the alien world and it becomes an adventure on the high seas, traveling in foreign lands story.

Finished Orphans of the Sky by Heinlein last night. Starting Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke tonight.

I really need to dig out my Hal Clements. Great review of Mission of Gravity Steve!

I am going to search out my copy and reread it.

I loved this one, read it late last year. In his 'Best of...' from Del Rey, Clement states that he was a teacher first and SF writer second. His short stories are great as well and a lot of them challenge the reader to puzzle out the ending based on hard science. I agree Mission of Gravity reads so well even today, I'm Gen X though, not sure about those Gen Zers.

I just reread The Time Machine and i started up War of the Worlds last night. Hoping to also reading Who Goes There before i move onto the forties.

I just read Andromeda Strain. I really enjoyed it! I think it was a perfect summer/doomsday/science thriller.
