I think that anyone who does watercolour should get the refill watercolour brush. I have some and they're not that expensive. These brushes are always wet. Edit : it's called a watercolour brush pen. It's a mix between a pen and a watercolour brush.

Hack Idea for damaged Rocketbook covers. Rather than cut out the pages, un-spiral the notebook remove the covers and re-spiral. If desired buy a folio that fits the dimensions of the notebook and you got a new cover.
If you're ever trying to erase just a small amount while you're on the go, you can get a refillable water pen! It only let's out a small amount of water and you can erase whole sentences without wetting the whole page
As someone who uses both rocketbooks and discbound planners, that it genius. Since I’m more about the reusability rather than the scanning aspect of it, I should have no remorse about ruining the border. Wow thanks
A friend just introduced me to Rocketbook. Mine will be arriving today! I can't wait. I am grateful that I found your channel! Your presentation was fantastic and I can't wait to play, I mean learn, all about my new toy, I mean tool. 🙂 Thank you for sharing!
Great tips - thank you! I am new to Rocketbook and I needed these tips. Also, you really have a great on-camera presence and I’m sure you could gain a huge following demonstrating other products and services on RU-vid. Good luck to you and thanks again.
Hello, Just got my first rocketbook today. Can't wait to try it. Subscribed right away! I'm a non-traditional student returning to school after 20 years (all online classes) - Have heard from traditional students that rocketbook is a great tool! I learn better when I hand write my notes but I'm not the most organized person! Thanks for all you do!
I just purchased my first Rocketbook and subscribed to your channel. I just learned a few AWESOME hacks from you in THIS video. So THANK YOU. 😮 Now, I need to watch more of your videos.
Omg you're the best ⭐️and these were all great hacks. Getting ready to go back to school after years and the Rocketbook is going to be a time saver, etc, and with your hacks, perfect. As a mom with a toddler, i need this in my life. Thanks. Got a new subscriber & and can't wait to see more...
Tip for if you want to three hole punch pages to use elsewhere but have them easily scannable: add a strip of black duct tape along the edge to create a new edge to hole punch. Just position the duct tape strip on the left side long edge of the page, then flip the page over and fold the duct tape over to the meet the black edge on the back of the page. Press down so the strip is now flattened. Now punch your holes through the tape strip!
I love this idea! What I’d really like to do is use these pages in a Circa/Arc notebook, I do wish that these pages were a bit more customizable, I realized a little too late that this seems to be only possible with the Pro. Is that true? Unless you remove the spiral of course…. I just love the fact that this paper is reusable ❤
tip number two is so great thank you! I just got a rocket book mini and I was disappointed that it doesn't have r icons like the larger version but I bet some of your tips will help me out. ♥ thanks again!
I love the tip about drawing an x over what can be erased. I'm saying to myself duh why am I not doing that. LOL. Great video. 👍🏽 I love my rock books.
I’d love to know your recommendations on decals/stickers on the covers! These hacks and tips were great. I have a Rocketbook flip and just got my first planner with them.
Woot! Woot! 🎉. So glad you love them, too! I have a Cricut vinyl cutter so I made a lot of my stickers & decals for my cover, though a few stickers are just regular ones I found at conferences or with games I love. 😁❤️
Hi, I also have a Rocketbook, but I saw that on the site there are PDFs of many sheet templates that can be downloaded for free. If I laminate them will they work like the notebook? I think yes!
I love the idea of sharpie for templates! Question: how often do you wash the erasing cloth? Could be a tricky answer, but just some idea. Just when it looks dirty? When it stops cleaning the pages well?
Thanks! I never completely wash it. Whenever I re-wet it I rinse until the water runs clear and use it until it doesn’t erase well again. Super simple. 😁❤️
This is so cool! I love all these tips, I’m about to buy my first, and the only thing that disappoints me that I can see is that they’re not exactly customizable… it’s good to see that the spirals come apart so easily!
Curious: IF I have a paper drawing that fits inside the border of the sheet, and I scan it, will RB send it where I want it to go? Is it too smart to know its a paper drawing sitting on the RB page? I have many drawings that I don't have time to scan and move, but it I could do this, it would reduce my time. I am also looking for black pages but don't find them for my new flip. The product is interesting and I'm sure I can make it work for me and keep me organized. I do some design drawings and don't need all the paper waste. Thanks. Just subscribed.
As long as you can still see the icons and QR code at the bottom and it can tell where the borders are you can! 😁. I have also created my own larger border with the icons and codes before to make it easy to scan other papers that aren’t in my rocketbook.
I’m glad you like them! The tabs can leave a bit of a residue if left on for a long time but for short periods I’ve been able to rub the residue off the page with my finger before washing and it hasn’t been a problem. (Though I use tabs so much I haven’t minded if there’s a bit of residue because it’s usually hidden under another tab.) If you’d like to check to make sure your tabs don’t leave a mark maybe try an inconspicuous spot to test it? You could also use magnetic bookmarks which leave no residue. I stick a small tab to a magnetic bookmark for pages I want to make sure stay nice. 😁
I was just gifted a secondhand Rocketbook, and yours was the first video I checked out about it, so bear with me if I'm incorrect, but if you cut the page and you mistakenly cut off the border, couldn't you use a Sharpie to correct/create one? It just goes by that line, right? Thanks!
Thank you for the content. I’ve been watching a few videos as my Rocketbook just arrived on Sunday! I’m sure I’m missing something because I haven’t heard anyone mention baby wipes, makeup wipes or Castile soap wipes. Will these damage or possibly stain the pages? Thinking of more travel friendly options than the ziplock bag idea.
Great question! Any wipes that are not water only can damage your pages or leave a residue that will make them less effective. For wipes it’s best to only use water. I hope that helps - enjoy your new Rocketbook!! Woot! Woot! 🎉
@@SuzannaKayeOrganizing True. I just bought a multi subject notebook so I'll be sticking to my microfiber cloth & water only. I may look into the water pen thing but I'm not taking chances with my new baby lol
Question - Could I use a make-up wipe to erase instead of a sponge? I want it to be more portable and I can just put a few in a baggie or get the individually packaged ones to carry around in my purse.
Great question, Lynn! Sadly, any wipe that has anything besides water can damage or leave a residue on your Rocketbook pages. It’s best to only use water for cleaning them. I hope this helps! 😁❤️
Hey Suzanna Kaye. I just got my Rocketbook today. I like it for all the potential things I can do with it, but here's my question for you: I send my scanned documents to one of three emails and Dropbox, but the remaining Recipients/Destinations were populated with one of the emails I used earlier. Is there a way to delete the email address these leftover Recipients/Destinations defaulted to? And thanks for your Hacks & Tricks video; they are very helpful.
Congratulations!! In your settings you can change the destinations and set them wherever you’d like them to go. If you don’t have any other destinations you’d like to set your can replace them with your preferred email just as a placeholder. It’s ok to have duplicate destinations. 😁
I have a question I’m a minister and I make a lot of notes for my sermons, I’m really not interested in the electronic aspect of the book I just want something I can use over and over, so here is my question lol can the ink stay on the pages for a really long time and still be erased?
Suzanna: Thanks for the ideas. I'm kind of stuck at a very early stage, and wondered if you had any idea where I could find info to get me unstuck. When I scan pages in the Rocketbook app, it's unreliable in actually acting on them. Sometimes it will email them as I requested via the Rocketbook destinations, but more often it seems to do nothing with the scan. When I open the app, it shows nothing in History, and appears to be empty. But when I click on the camera icon, it shows 4 pages that I scanned. If I click on those, all I can do is "Preview" them, but not email them. The 3 vertical dots at the upper left gives he a "Share" option, but the only options within that are to share outside of Rocketbook (such as messaging, Facebook, etc.), not the Rocketbook destinations. So I'm unable to get those to access the Rocketbook destinations at all. What am I doing wrong? John
Forgot to mention, in case it helps in diagnosis. When I click on that camera icon, and see the 4 scans, there is a "Next" button. But when I click on that, all is does is sown the scan with a sentence highlighted, saying "we found a smart list item".
@@johnwesthadley if you select a list and select "No", it will move on to the destinations list. It takes time, but it does get there. I think it will move on even if you don't do this, but it takes longer.
Hello Suzanna... I got a question, did your rocketbook start to waste on the border of the page with time? I saw that in mine is like that the fingertips of my hands started to wear out the border of the pages. Does it happen to you? if that is the case, what can I do?
Ooh - interesting! No, I haven’t had that problem with any of my Rocketbooks. I’d reach out to Rocketbook’s customer service to see if maybe your notebook has a defect? Let me know what they say - that sounds frustrating. ❤️
Hi Suzanne, I have the Rocketbook Fusion for the past few months now. Really enjoying it. Meanwhile, I can swear that I once hit some setting and my writing turned into text. I don’t think I dreamt it. Yet now I can no longer find it anywhere and you are not mentioning such a feature. Did I just dream this or is it a thing? I hope it’s for real because now,I want to use it SO much !
I’m glad you’re loving your Rocketbook!! Yes, there is a setting for that. 😁. When you go to your Rocketbook app and choose Settings you can enable it in the Handwriting Recognition (OCR) section. I hope that helps! ❤️
@@SuzannaKayeOrganizing so it doesn’t work retroactively? Another words, if I didn’t have it enabled at time of original scan ( and I’ve wiped off the page since) that it won’t come up turned into text? I did try looking and have the OCR set to handwriting recognition but it didnt change it to text. Maybe Zi have to do one just as a test now… hmm.
WELL, I’ve tried everything but still cant get it to work. I even tried sending to a google email, just in case.. I’m 🤔 stumped. I even watched the youtube video and did all those things .
Thank you for the hack tips. Just wanted to know if you have any hacks or tips if I want to sketch in the Rocketbook Fusion? Is there a way to scan it and then make online tweaks on the scanned document and sketches?
Good question! Aside from importing the scan into something like photoshop to edit I don’t know of a way to edit drawings after scanning. (Though they do come up with a lot of creative solutions & updates often, so who knows if they may add that in the future!)
The only way would be through the OCR if you used that when you uploaded. But then you’d have to use it as a text document (Word, etc) rather than as a scan. The scan image itself cannot be updated.
Thank you- I did test alcohol on a small part of my page but it removed the erasable coating, so I don’t recommend it on a Rocketbook. But, I LOVE using it on all sorts of other surfaces like whiteboards, counter tops & more. 😁
I use both the letter & executive sizes depending on what I’m working on. I love having the executive (smaller) size on my desk for quick notes & in my daily travel bag. For bigger projects, brainstorming, notes during events or long trips I take the full letter size. (I also have a mini notebook for my purse/quick notes around the house)
Using pencils or any other writing instrument besides the Frixion pens isn’t recommended and can damage the pages of your Rocketbook. Since it’s not normal paper you can easily mess up the coating in the pages using a regular pencil eraser. (If you do ever try any other tools make sure to test it repeatedly in a small inconspicuous corner of a page first. )
@@SuzannaKayeOrganizing I've been using pencil for the last many weeks regularly and even before that when I sometimes forgot my frixion pen. Pencil is easier to find. Just an option not an opinion.
I’m a newbie just looking through the comments. Parikshit - are you using a conventional.m, somewhat dull pencil? I’d imagine something like that would be less likely to damage the page as a mechanical or thin lead pencil might.
@@SuzannaKayeOrganizing so I’m trying to use the rocket notebook for school. I have 6 classes I need to do notes in. I’m not sure which destination will be the easiest to use. I tried using Evernote but I have absolutely no clue how to. When I take a picture on rocket notebook app it doesn’t send to Evernote. I don’t know what destination will be easiest to access and use like an online notebook. So I can review my notes, or submit them to my teacher.
@@Juju-lg1do the easiest one to use may be Google Drive. You can set up one folder in your Google Drive for each subject and set your destinations to the various subject folders to make it easy. Google drive is extremely easy to share files from and keep organized.
Hahah! Yes, you are correct Leonardodalingisland. 😁. I choose to use it this way simply because it’s what most people search for and are familiar with, but it’s true that it’s actually a redundant title. 🤣
Good to hear that at least one person understands! And, it's a shame that Americans are so ignorant of their own language. It's also a sign of just how much like sheep most humans are; one person does something and a billion others follow along.....Baaaa!
