This unit came off of a very large stump grinder. They were the type of people who greased this unit every day. when I got it opened I had to dig out the grease with my hands just to get at things. Over greasing can be as bad as under greasing. At least nothing is worn out. This type of puller has worked every time for me and once it is made I always have it available for the next one. Each unit is different. Hole can be any size as long as it clears the shaft and gives good support to the unit when pulling.
