Hey guys!
On Monday, December 11th, my son Joseph, my friends Chris, Jeff and I went to a new mine that just opened for a soft opening called Pine Ridge Crystals, LLC. They are doing limited digs currently, and will be doing a grand opening in March. We all had a lot of fun and walked away with some amazing material! To see videos from Chris and Jeff for this location, and several other areas to dig, feel free to click the links below.

Such a fun day out there with you, my friend! Always a blast when we can get together to dig. You got some nice ones!

Thank you Chris! We had a lot of fun. My son talked about it the whole way home. I’m glad you got your video out first, that way I could edit mine down more to so I didn’t repeat as much content that you already included. I’m starting to clean some of mine up with Iron Out now, and will cut a few of them down to get rid of some excess rock. Hopefully I’ll get them a little more presentable in about a week, if weather cooperates, that is.

It was one of the funnest digging experiences I’ve had, both with the company and the amount of material we were able to collect. I moved A LOT of rocks to get them, but had a great time along the way. If you ever come out this way, let me know! It would be fun to do a dig together. 👍

No doubt, next fall we’re gonna try to either go to Arkansas or back to herkimer for our 10th anniversary, I’m hoping for Arkansas though, there are definitely a handful of folks we want to meet up with out that way. We have a ton of pets so it makes it tough to get out for much more than a day trip here & there

So can you take mutiple trips back and forth to your vehicle or do you have to take all your findings in one trip
@joedadbod8450
@joedadbod8450 6 месяцев назад
I took a couple of trips. He’s fine with that, and the road was about 2-300 feet away, not too terrible at all, especially with a cart so I didn’t have to hand carry all of it.

They’re just starting up, and have only had a few digs. I saw James post on one of the FB rockhounding sites and I messaged him right away to get scheduled for a dig, and we took it from there. It was a lot of fun to get to dig out there, and I’m thrilled my son got to come and experience it with me. He talked about it the whole three and a half hours home. 🤣

I found my clearest points from the shale wall. The alluvial stuff was large, but the pocket we got into was pretty milky (we didn’t know it until we got home and washed them off). We still got some clear ones out of there though. It was fun either way, and for $200, it was more than worth it.
@findingrocksdotcom6475

@@joedadbod8450 The milky large points are really aesthetic in clusters. I love the smaller clear points as well. My son came with me to the Crystal Collectors last event and he had a great time which was a relief for me. He was prolific in picking up crystals also which is hopefully going to help down the road.
