I rented this game in my child hood and played it for a whole weekend. Glad you reviewed it, made me think of a game I had not thougth of in a long time. I love the punch glove weapon its just cool. Nice Review man keep it up!!
The original game was Japanese, so the password was full of kana. Naturally, there was more of it then English letters, so they had extra space in need to be replaced by some symbols for an English version.
Yeah the "Twin Balls" does sound suggestive but remember this game was made by Atlus whom would later go on to make the Shin Megami Tensei series where God knows what could happen! At least the cat doesn't put a gun to his head to see if a persona comes out or something :)
Actually I find the basketball minigame easier than the pipe toss. You gotta keep in mind that you can stop yourself above the basket by punching in the air once. As for the Stage 1 (or channel, whatever) the boss can be defeated easier if you first take down these two dogs above. They drop 1 heart each, and once they're taken out, the lights will no longer fall if you hit the dog in purple suit.
Nostalgic, had it when i was a kid, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the English version as I remember wandering on what's the game called. BTW, you can defeat that chicken sub-boss by catching it's eggs an throwing them back at it (I think that takes less hits or something).
I dunno the more video games get technologically advanced the more I miss the old 8-16 bit days. Yeah, I have a PS3 and do enjoy playing it very much, but the tech is outta control. I don't wanna have to download everything! Rockin' Kats was one of my favorite
Dude you are one of the funniestgame reviewers I've ever listened too. And some of the games you play are so awful its hilarious. You're kind of like the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 of old school gaming. These vids are hilarious. Did U ever get a chance to play Metal Gear 1 for the original NES btw?
This is one of my favorite NES games of all time. I first played it when I was, like, 8 years old. Last time I played it was a few months ago and I'm 24. Great review! Against Bull Band, you can kill the drummer and guitarist on the upper left and right part of the screen by bouncing on the ground and punching up. They go down after a few hits. Killing them gives you a heart. When they're both down, these objects falling down from the top of the screen don't come anymore. Gonna watch part 2!
@AqualungGameReviews Katy Perry's Voice is more awful that it could possibily Kill Willy. I mean her Voice can kill anything in a 100 mile radius it's that awful.
I absolutely LOVED this game. Played it so many times. Anyway, perhaps this has been said already, but it DOES matter in what order you choose the levels. Every time you beat a level, the other levels get harder. And the levels themselves are already ordered in difficulty: 1 being the easiest, 4 being the harderst. In other words, the easiest way to play the game, is by starting off with level 4 and saving level 1 for last. Playing it from 1 to 4 makes the difficulty ramp up quite a lot.
