@SeventhSun Mega Man 7 and Mega Man 8 are highly underrated and needlessly resented games. They are beautiful masterpieces which allowed the series to evolve in very artistic and fun ways. The games are creative, vibrant and their music and sound effects are wonderful. These elements allowed for a deeper gameplay experience while staying true to the simple mechanics. I cannot fathom how people can bash 7 and 8. So much detail and care went into them. That trend should continue.

for those curious as to why megaman and Megaman X are together, along with all the old baddies is because from what the story says on this game, the reploids you see of X and Zero are copies of the originals made to combat the mavericks. This game looks fun even though its non-canon

out of the in dev footage I saw, you were able to play as various robot masters and mavericks. Playing as Ferham and Scarface would be soooo cool!

This game has NOT been cancelled. Check Mega Man sites like Mega Man Network and Protodude's Rockman Blog and you'll find recent articles from the staff that it's alive and good still as a Korean exclusive.

I wanted this so bad. This was supposed to tell the story of what happens between the classic and X series. At least I remember reading that in several places back when it was announced.

Scarface and Ferham! Kinda nice to see them outside of Command Mission. I wish there was a Command Mission 2, or Remastered Version. That game was awesome (save for the Final Chapter >___>')

The Legends series was a refreshing, unique take on Mega Man. It was ambitious and special. It still is. The internet didn't burst into an uproar when Legends 3 was cancelled for nothing. ;)

@DemonofHell48 it actually is a platformer with 2d shooting. all of the graphics and everything are in 3d but it's still 2d platforming and action. also, there are the equivalent of "finish him" commands after you beat the boss at the end of every mission, where you get to watch your character finish off the maverick in a cinematic way.

@Perion During the times you speak of, there wasn't an apocalyptic war. Zero was awakened somehow in the X series timeline, was discovered by a Maverick Hunter unit lead by Gamma and Zero killed them all, was then met in battle by Sigma, defeated and yes, during that time Sigma was infected with the virus. As for what happened to the classic cast, it's still yet to be determined truthfully, despite what Inafune said.

@Perion Also, Inafune-san confirmed a long time ago that Zero did not kill the original cast of the Classic series.

@Z3ro42 Unfortunately, no one knows for sure. However, the company producing the game recently revealed a beta testing contest type thing for lucky gamers in Asia. So I suspect sometime soon...but still no word if the game will ever be brought to different regions. =(

@NintendoMaster77 Yes. Mega Man is simply the English name for Rockman. Although his real name is indeed Rock and not "Mega" as seen in Powered Up. I think that was a needless change.

@Triforce9426 This has not been cancelled. Capcom are fools as of late, but NeoWiz and Pmang are still producing it and Capcom has yet to instruct a cancellation.

@MegaMacTV The opening itself was borrowed over from national Japanese treasure Astro Boy. Why? Probably to increase the similarities or something. I think that hatch is kind stupid personally, it clutters the design up.
