Japan logic: Leaving a game on overnight causes the characters to go out into the real world America logic: leaving a game on overnight causes a high electric bill to happen
dunno if you guys cares but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all of the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my girlfriend for the last few months =)
@@TheRockruffWhoCries they probably thought it was a kid otaku in a cosplay costume. Many younger generation Japanese citizens dress like or keep merch of their fave characters. They even probably thought the battles were part of a fan play.
@@Shanethefilmmaker Fair enough. Tokyo has kaiju, giant mechas & monsters. New York had a chitari problem at one point. And Toronto? Just the stuff in scott pilgrim dhould cover that.
@@Iron8127 Really. All the different weird stuff that happened in Toronto movie wise and you pick Scott Pilgrim. I live in Toronto. What SP did doesn't even qualify. Think deeper, late 80s. Videodrome.
Jtube 2003 I just realized, that’s actually the point, an ova is basically an educational lesson about whatever except it usually has famous characters, like mega man or Goku, so you don’t want to die while watching it
I love this OVA so much. From the sound design, to the music, to Mega Man interacting with people in the real world, this was a nice alternative to the Ruby Spears Mega Man show.
@@bluescat581I LOVE this OVA too! The Music is simply amazing, my favorite by far being Dr. Wily's Theme. As a professional guitarist, I was pleasantly surprised, my mind totally blown by the quality of the Music, as well as the Sound Design in general! It is such a shame that Ruby Spears didn't keep the same premise for their following Megaman Series... I understand that, at the time, the Japanese in charge at the Studio thought that Americans weren't ready for a real Anime Style "Cartoon", so they went with a much dumber, action oriented Cartoon Style for Marketing Reasons, sadly to everyone's loss... I don't know if a true Anime Megaman Series would have done better financially at the time compared to how what was ultimately released fared, but I strongly believe that kids would still have loved it. One thing is for sure: if they had made the Megaman Series just a few years later, or more realistically in the early 2000's, the world would 100% have been ready to embrace a true Japanese Anime Megaman! And I'm not even talking about today (or even in the 2010's), where kids, teens & adults now love & watch a ton of Anime, preferring this by far to the old stupid early-mid 90's Cartoons (with Anime Style Art) like Pokemon & Dragon Ball Z, where you literally feel your brain cells die while watching this sh¡t! However, they sure knew how to "hook" the kids on that stuff, making it as Visually, Auditory & Emotionally (excitement, etc.) Stimulating as they could, so much so that it gave Seizures to kids! That intense Stimulation & Excitement gives a huge rush of Dopamine in the Brain (the activation of the Reward Circuit of the Brain, the same mechanisms involved in Drug use), which makes kids/people feel good and insidiously creates a real form of Dependency/Addiction! Well... Better not to dwell on the Past, thinking about what could have been. However, I think that there are still more than enough Megaman Fans out there to justify making a new Megaman Series, which today would be done in Anime. There's enough potential customers to at least make such a project financially viable, to cover the Production Costs at the very least!
And it was also made by ruby spears this and the other series was made by it this was made to teach people about Japan but the executives thought America wasnt ready for anime yet so they went for the other series
"Mom, a mad scientist jumped out of my television with plans of world domination and this little cyborg followed him through and requires me to put him on the train to Tokyo." "I don't give a shit, you've got school in the morning." Japanese parents don't mess around, do they?
I like that the parents instantly that Mega Man's come to the real world, like I mean that seriously, because you get so tired of the seeing the same ol' story of no one understanding the kids that it's refreshing for them to just accept it
0oFreezeMano0 thank god that rock sounds better than in megaman 8 This cartoon and megaman powered up are the only times CAPCOM didn't screw up megaman's voice Megaman 8 screwed up big time with rock's voice Next time if they megaman 11 for the switch with voice acting at least have an 11 year old boy voice rock
Yeah if it only happen to me... And there some chances of surviving this day off is not to get killed by vicious murder machines made by a mad german scientist and has multiple rides just to take down the blue bomber and a dog that can transform into a hoverboard (that your with now with them now) and hopefully dont get killed by any robots so i learned is always turn off your console or some video game, cartoon, or anime character come out to the world which is good sign cause you might get a massive power bill with some killing machines
I like how the credits show Mega Man walking towards the screen while showing the different seasons just like in the credits of Mega Man 2! Loved this anime when I first watched it back in like 2015.
Fun fact: did you know the reference to star man stage is a EXACT replica of the video games stage. Everything to the pose level layout and everything!! It shows that the creator of the anime really cared about megeman
@OMEGALOVANIA I would like to know what it is exactly that you meant by Netflix becoming Corrupted (we're certainly not taking about traditional Corruption like taking Bribes here). On my end, I totally agree with your assessment that Netflix became corrupted, morally bankrupt by giving in to the pressures of a certain group (Woke Activists) & ultimately hired so much of those activists that until very recently, a huge part of Netflix's new original Content was virtue signalling Propaganda, making inserting their sociopolitical Agenda (of Gender & Identity Politics) into Shows a priority, with the considerations about writing good Stories completely going out the window! (And since I believe that we're talking about the same type of Corruption, I don't have to give you countless examples of those Woke Garbage Shows! Any Disney+ Content (She-Hulk 🤮 ) is a perfect example of how good Storytelling has been hijacked by Activists! Don't remember on which Network/Platform it was released, but Batgirl is also another atrocious example!) However, Netflix seems to have changed course recently, which makes me & many others CAUTIOUSLY optimistic.
Totally agree! And today, Anime has become SO POPULAR that it's become Mainstream all over the world, with more than enough Megaman Fans left to make a new Anime Style Series a financial success instead of what Ruby Spears Studios chose to make after this OVA, at a time when the Japanese thought that Americans/Westerners weren't ready for Anime!
Because you really love watching those 3 mega man videos and never get tired of watching them and I really love watch these videos too and i never get tired of watching them😊😊😊
I found this randomly looking up megaman in Netflix's catalog when I was a kid. I was excited to see an actual Japan produced megaman show, but was bummed out that it was an isakai (didn't know what was an isakai then). I wanted to see actual adventures in the megaman universe. Still enjoyed it though. Surprisingly the opening has a lot of nostalgia, almost as much as dragon ball to me.
+Homing Attack I would also make Captain Falcon come out and explain himself. I mean, why did they make a guy from Mega Man look like a kid version of him? Sorry whats his name? Protoman or something like that?
Pretty nice Proto Man was actually an ally like he was in the later games. Most media at this time portrayed him as a lackey or rival when he was an ally to Megaman after ditching the Break Man persona.
@@TheSkully343 around that time megaman 5 was the or 6 was out so megaman was a extremely popular franchise so it would probably be common seeing someone wearing or cosplaying megaman
I'm forty years old i m big fan of mega man....this came out when i was a kid and i love how rush discretely give out facts about japan to this day, I learnt a few things.
1:32 Just look at how smooth that animation is! Man it was way, WAY better than what was actually given to us in the 90s. If only we were actually given what was on the previews and primes.
16:52 Interesting that Utah or whatever his name is can retain consciousness going that high up in the atmosphere, let alone give Megaman Japan trivia.
What a cute anime^^ The dream of every anime fan. and the children learn something from it. but its funny how everyone see it as normal that MegaMan is in the real world^^.
This is certainly- No, SIGNIFICANTLY better than the Ruby Spears cartoon, although I think they should've made Mega Man's voice a bit deeper... but then again he's like 12 years old so it's understandable. And oh my god Eddy is adorable.
Haha yoo this was so epic. I wish I watched this as a kid, I've been getting into MegaMan since reading the comics.. Pretty amazing seeing the NES Toploader in the show instead of the toaster. The fact that it was MegaMan V cartridge lol! Thx a bunch for uploading this!
This cartoon exceeds logical time limits of what they did and how they did it and has many loop holes and many plot holes, other than that, it teaches you many things and also is so cute. 5 out of 5 for this show.
One of the strange things that caught me off guard is that it's like how everyone there in Japan makes it seem like Mega Man is an American made character when he was made in Japan.
I would've love if this was a full TV show premiering in the late 90s-early 2000s. Then I would've turned my TV on to watch Mega Man more than Mega Man 8's cutscenes.
Christopher Hernandez I assume in the games, they took place in the Rio Grande Valley/Delta in Texas, since the US manuals or the boxes do not specify where did they took place.
Urvy1A This is just my though, but I think it should take place in Pittsburgh because of all the factories and CMU which is a college in engienering and chem. I just think that would be a more fitting scene. No offence though! ;)
I do like this but i have 2 complaints 1. Mega Man is named Rock Man in Japan right? Then why do they call him Mega Man instead of Rock Man? 2. How can Rush tell which side the drivers are driving at a top view in 8:54? Is he flying at a slanted angle or does Rush have X-Ray vision? If it's the former then I guess Rush Jet has foot straps cause how else would Mega Man not fall off? If it's the ladder then I guess Rush has 5 uses now. (Rush Coil, Rush Marine, Rush Jet, Rush Adapter and X-Ray vision) Other than that, I like this. I will say Mega Man's voice actor in this seems to pull off a much better performance then Mega Man's voice actor in Mega Man 8. At least Mega Man sounds like a Male here.
Spidertendo 64 My issue is why is his voice a kid's voice, why can't the writers get the name of his "mega buster" right, why can rush talk, why does megaman call his mega buster a laser cannon, WHY DOES MEGAMAN CALL HIS MEGA BUSTER A LASER CANNON??
Wow, that was a neat short. The music and animation is great, and the silly premise is a fun time. Meeting Mega Man is a fun idea, and seeing something based on Mega Man 5 rather than one of the earlier games is also pretty neat, I love the older ones but 5 is also pretty good.
@@joblii4075 I think they redrew the NES cart, but the japanese one shows an FC game cart. It shows an AV Famicom which you can tell by the shape (no big bump on the top)
