I've figured out today what the stage modifier address for this build in Cheat Engine: 00B1F30C
EDIT: GS code has been made! check out the thread,big thanks to thefanman!

My post on that thread contains all the stage values(in decimal) for the build.
Several of the stages here likely have some extra sections,like Necrobat or Firefly,but you need a moon jump/fly code in order to be able to access the remaining sections,while others,like X4's Final Weapon part 2 seem glitched up beyond belief.
It's unknown,as of yet,if the Dynamo stages and the training stage have been implemented.
I'll later upload the full OST of the build,all 30 songs of it(including the X4 placeholder songs).

The fact that they used Split Mushroom as a placeholder boss for Rosered reminds me of Magma Dragoon being the boss for the tutorial, maybe he was a placeholder boss for Burn Dinorex?

not sure if you're not aware, but burn dinorex is the original boss name for rockman x5. trivia tho: axle the red, mattrex, izzy glow and duff mcwhalen are named after the members of guns n' roses in american version megaman x5

Not sure. However, one weapon available in the demo still had some coding attached to it for X's version of Storm Owl's weapon--and it still in fact dealt additional damage to Dragoon like so.

Actually no, Magma Dragoon is in this build as the boss of the tutorial stage. Also,w hat ever idiot did the localization was a big guns and roses fan and nobody else was and named the bosses the dumbest names in the world.

Somehow, it creeps me out. I did try to look for the soundtrack on X5. I would think it's listed as an X 5 Beta Soundtrack, because I did find a beta soundtrack on RU-vid, but I cannot seem to find that theme.

@@bennel3588 It's the Sigma Demo theme from X4. A lot of things from X4 were reused for this specific X5 prototype.

​@@TheHedgememe You're right! This data never went into X5, it was just copied from X4, so it's not X5 data. I do remember the Air Force stage from X4, and even Area 1 of Final Weapon 1 and 2. I do seem to remember that last part of Final Weapon 2 Area 1 did have a boss endurance room, but the boss capsules are not in the prototype build. Air Force has Dynamo Beta Theme, and Final Weapon has Sigma Demo from X 4, but actually got it without receiving it, so that's why it's not in the X 5 Prototype nor Beta Soundtrack.

I don't understand why they didn't keep X's voice actor from Rock Man X4. He's the best voice actor for X next to Mark Gatha for Mega Man X8.

I can 100% understand why it uses' Dynamo's theme for the spaceport, seeing as how during Dynamo fight 2 you fight him at the launch area for Zero's shuttle

It sounds like it fits the spaceport music well, but the final version does not sounds like it, but seems to fit the Dynamo boss fight well.

7:15 - 8:22, right? From the gurgling music going on and off, to the glitched out "soul body" lingering below X, to the complete silence when X dies, it's like a .exe moment that actually brings chills. Come to think of it, the music there kind of sounds a bit like the radio from Pokémon Gold & Silver, or at least what's used in Lost Silver.

It basically is. Same engine, also, each weapon was just reprogrammed to do something different. For example, Double Cyclone got reprogrammed into the Spike Ball. Which is why Dragoon is weak to that weapon in X5.

It is, most game sequels are like this. Sonic 2 is based off of sonic 1 and 3 off of 2, megaman 2 has leftover data from megaman 1 in it, and the Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask was based off of Ocarina of Time

wouldn't be terribly surprising,megaman 2 seems to have been built on top of megaman 1,and x6 might have also been done the same way,on top of x5(the reason the glitched menus are there is due to x5 menus being in place,and keep in mind,the x6 prototype was very close to being finished,as most stages were done and near final,just to exemplify x6's rushed production)

@@marx4538 X1 and 2 were SNES games, not PS1 to begin with and I do wonder if X6 really got even 9 months. X6 screams to me like it was done in 6 months. if it was a year worth of dev, it simply didn't have enough staff, time and money put into it. as an aside the X6 proto is dated a week and a half before the final build exe and yet stuff like sigma wasn't even implemented. Mijinion was only barely just implemented but not balanced (which explains why he's so moronically harder than the rest of the mavericks) X6 may have been developed in the same timeframe as the earlier games but it sure as shit doesn't feel like it if that's the case.

@@Futuretime23 "screams to me" isn't an argument because i can say the same for X1 due to how much scrapped content there is in it and how much of it is linear, alongside yes, terrible boss balancing there too (octopus is a NIGHTMARE if you don't happen to know that you should visit penguin at least first), or how X2 doesn't even have an actual final stage, one of it's fortress bossfights is just a slightly different variation of a previous ingame battle, the 3rd stage boss barely even works, there's a random broken capsule in the refight stage that seems to serve no purpose (and yet just so happened to have a different design in the prototypes) while the fortress stage 2 is extremely short. it's not indication of devtime - just because a game isn't perfect in some area doesn't mean anything beyond speculation. not only that, but there are many such cases even outside of this series. did you know that the sonic 3 prototype that was basically full of scrapped features, lacking in the ones actually implemented in final entirely and has it's zones in an utterly unfinished state was built on November 3rd. in fact, there are so many things missing there! the build date of the final release is November 20nd. is it healthy to have such development time? NO. is it a good thing? NO. will it make for a perfect game? NO. however, it is indeed a thing that happened - and there's barely anything in final Sonic 3 that can be used as an argument for that without knowing the build dates of both prototype and final and also knowing the prototype in the first place. in fact, Mega Man 7 is stated to have just THREE MONTHS of development time - multiple teams worked on it, but there's barely anything in that game that shows it was this rushed, either. so, what is the reason for Mijinion being harder than the rest? well, there can be any reason. there's no ingame ANYTHING that tells us any info on why. it could have been intentional, like how Quick Man was made to be the hardest of the robot masters in 2 as he was planned to be a rival at first, or maybe like X1's Octopus, it just so happened that one of the bosses is absurdly hard compared to others. or maybe one of the developers from Capcom Production Studio 3 FELT like making a hard boss and the team agreed. whether it's a good decision or not is debatable - but to say that it's proof of the game being rushed compared to X1 or X2 or that it had less budget or work is just plain false, especially considering the amount of things X6 actually has implemented in it compared to those SNES games. i'd recommend reading the shmupulations article on X1 - it's prefaced with the text saying that it is quite exaggerated but the development was still not very relaxing. especially given that wall kick was apparently not a particularly early move implemented, or as it's become known, wall dash. in case of tl;dr: bizarre balance decisions don't necessarily mean the game was more or less rushed than the other.

+Coemgenus Nothing really amazing if you know how developping games works, really. Just use something you already have and change the colours, graphics and such. Since the engine was already done, not much to add, not much to change.

I'm so glad we did not use those stages from X4 again, because if we already been through them in an older Megaman X game, I think there's no need to go through them again. That's what made some of Megaman Xtreme and Megaman Zero awful, except that Megaman Zero 2 and 3 were better than 1, but this is all my opinion, not everyone's opinion.

X5 still used one of the same bosses from X1, and it's still done the same way, except for the full armor being complete for X or playing with Zero. It's that giant machine with eyes to destroy.

I think the slowdown at 7:39 is the game triggering the dialogue between player and sigma before entering the door While in actuality the file is no longer there, so the game kinda confuses

The X4 assets and stages are placeholders, guys. The real deal are those red block stages here. All 3 psx games were made with the same X4 engine. This seems like an early build tho. It barely has a finished UI.

by default,you can only use the fourth armor,you need to use a character modifier to use other armors.

This is some really neat stuff! I love prototypes! But I don't suppose this prototype has some sort of "free debug mode" like _Rockman 8 Sample_ did? I'd love to know what lies beyond the areas you can't get past due to spikes or holes.

It's the reused Space Port from megaman X4 where you fight Colonel and you see Repliforce ships moving on the background, evacuating to the Final Weapon a giant space station that General and Repliforce remnants wanted to use it as base then Sigma hijack it for use the cannon.

@@zero-0159 When I watched the Space Port stage from X4, I did see airplanes moving in the background, but the airplane in this video, it seems to be moving as X is moving, and I did not see an airplane from X4 moving like that. I am blind!

@@bennel3588 Because it's a leftover of Megaman X4 levels, for developers can test the new stuff they can add and as it was made testing stuff, so all that maps are bugged or broken and the spaceship is broken so instead of going foward it goes to the other side.

@@Futuretime23 I kind of figured that you used some kind of code to enter the other stages when you kept selecting Grizzly Slash's stage, but you end up being in a different stage instead. If the stage says "Lock," I think they're unavailable by default, so you can only enter them by a code. I'm surprised the Mattrex's stage is already unlocked, because it's really difficult, and the most difficult of all is Duff McWhalen's stage, which is already unlocked. The Final Sigma fight is the hardest over all if you're not using weaknesses against any of the bosses.
