Sorry, but they're not going to make a "remaster"/remake of a 20 year old game in a 10 year old engine in 2024. I'm not against a MW05 remake, but I don't think EA will ever do it at this point, too much of a risk.

We had both them maps combined in Need For Speed World check it out it's shutdown now though I know some modders brought it back Soap Box World or whatever it was called search it definitely worth a look

the MW05 map on MW12's engine shows how Fairhaven really has some Rockport vibes.

What this mod needs is traffic nodes to show the Rockport roads as roads so traffic can spawn and police can go there. You could add Palmont, but the NFS World map doesn't have the Old Bridge Road, instead using a tunnel, so the how the connector road links up would need to be changed if you wanted to keep the Old Bridge Road. I also would like to see this map in NFS Undercover as the Rockport Turnpike (the road you come in on in this mod) was designed to go to Tri-City and it was never added to NFS World.

I think the map is from World because the bridge you drove from doesn't exist in MW, which means the modder could add the Palmont Section but that would remove the bridge jump

the fact that i know thisgame map so well and was thinking the way to get to the origianl garage since he started at the downtown says i did spend a hell of a time back in the day . my memories are beating the game 16 times. making the rap sheet hit 100% with no mods and ofcourse beating all the 69 challenges. I had no interent and this was the onyl game i mainly loved.

i really wish hed try the most wanted 2005 map for assetto corsa. it separates into 2 seperate maps of rosewood and rockport. but its absolutely stunning and it also has a traffic mod that makes the city come alive

If you owned the standard edition on PC and used a save with all DLC, it unlocks all the dlc for you also. Cars and extra map

NEED FOR SPEED 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, AND 2015. THESE NEED FOR SPEEDS DON'T NEED ANY KIND OF MODIFICATION, THEY'RE GREAT THE WAY THEY ARE. THE GRAPHICS, CARS, STORY MODE, MAP IN THESE NEED FOR SPEEDS ARE BEST. AND YES FAIRHAVEN CITY IS BETTER THAN ROCKPORT CITY !!!

there was nothing technically wrong with Undercover, it was just an unfinished game, rushed, and the developers(black box) were on there way out.

hopefully there'll really be a NFS MW 2005 remake this year as kind of "promised", or at least teased... it's be great to see Rockport remade with today's graphics, and however they should stick with the original physics, or if not, then I think NFS Heat physics would might be appropriate...

Honestly, they should just provide the community with all the tools necessary to give the original game the face-lift it deserves (the Xbox 360 version running natively on PC). I wouldn't trust the developers not to fuck up MW "05 in the process of remastering it.

Need for Speed Most Wanted 2005 already had a part 2 game. It was called Need for Speed Carbon which you encounter Sgt. Cross at the beginning of the game who confirms your escape from Rockport in Most Wanted. If Most Wanted 05 and 12 plus Carbon could be connected to make one massive map and not through a mod, that could be epic.

Meanwhile I've spent the last few days making my own 05 Most Wanted work. NFS Mods has been awesome, as well as the abandonware side of Reddit. I now have an 03 Mustang GT in a racing game! I have an 03 Mustang. It's nice. Make sure you have DirectX if you mod otherwise you will want to punch your screen.

Such an amazing vehicle combined with excellent sound design ^-^ Also is it just me, or do the new NFS games have weaker sounds? They sound quite muted in a way, they don't quite scream or rumble as much as I had hoped

2:54 The Most Wanted 2 prototypes are still drift focused, just with different tuning. The default E92 feels pretty horrible to drive lol but other cars feel much better and closer to how they are in the final game. A lot of people think the game was gonna be grip focused because they watched prototype gameplay running at like 15 FPS which screws with the physics. Personally I love MW12’s handling, but the cars could use a bit more downforce so they don’t start flying whenever there’s a slight bump in the road.

I think after the truth what actually happened to Most Wanted 2012, more people start to love this game till this days, and I'm sure after a years the Most Wanted 2012 will be iconic game too like the original Most Wanted 2005.
