We're back with a bit more news, rumormill, and future speculation/predictions all in one! Learn what's going on behind the scenes with the GasGas group for US Supercross and Pro Motocross in 2025 and beyond.
I have been asking club for years to do a woods loop. They started one a couple of years ago but never opened it up to the public. They said they had some water/drainage issues and that’s all I ever heard about it. I live close to club and there are a ton of people around here that would love to see a woods loop.
I hope they survive by actually producing budget bikes. I’m good if they want to dump the pro race team. Maybe just stick to grass roots bikes like the 65, 85, 125. Give us $1-2k off of the price of the KTM and Husky, not just a couple hundred bucks.
KTM, Husky & GasGas are owned by a company that mismanaged their assets and now they are cutting corners everywhere like farming out production to India and China.
i think this comment is both short sighted and stupid. All the oems outsource - japenese included. You cant compete on price cross boarders in modern world
@@HPRaceDevelopmenta) that does not change the fact they extremely mismanaged there company. B) while yes in a modern world you have accept some places may be cheaper, however, they have been having problems ever since with those parts. C) ktm group won how many championships this year, and still have to cut. That is a direct sign of mismanagement.
@@theshovl3r have you been under a rock? Covid exploded offroad sales. Its headed back to normal. Some companies like ktm thought it could continue long term because the sales numbers are still below pre 2008. It is headed back normal and the risks they took to invest in growth arent paying off. All the companies outsource. Yamahas have been junk for quite some time - the “issues” ktm has are still small. The outsourcing companies want to keep the ktm business and rapidly sort out the issues. Its not like your 10k mountain bike is made in thailand - oh wait it is.
@theshovl3r That comment was about as smart as the first one. Neither of you know what's going on behind the scenes. We are in a recession, and experiencing the effects of inflation. This means our dollar does don't buy what it used to. One of the effects of this is bikes collecting dust at dealers. The company has to cut costs, it's basic economics, bud.
@@shanemoto97 I’m aware just haven’t seen them since push gear and helmets like they did in 2000’s. Make a JB helmet? Deck it out, add the logos and let us buy his race helmet. Easy money. But not done
I think ktm parent company should break these brands up instead of directly competing against each other. Cf moto: offroad, sxs, quads Mv augusta: high end motorcycles to compete with ducati and aprilia Husky: offroad adventure segment and the smaller cc street Gasgas: trials and cross country Ktm: mx, sx, offroad, and the naked high performance street. ... or something like that.
The fact that they're all owned by Pierre is the only way they wouldn't compete with eachother if they break them up they will be in competition immediately. Right now it's a win fr PM no latter what bike is bought.
It's borderline lateral move for club to leave Yamaha, although the yam platform isn't head and shoulders above everyone on 250s anymore its still very solid and they have built the team around it with twisted etc. I wonder how much factory money is in it for them if they go gas gas? Factory IS factory so I would certainly understand.
Suzuki guys are like cowboys fans. This is our year it’s gonna be different! Suzuki is going to bring out a new model for the first time in over a decade!
Why has this happened is the question that nobody in this small industry where everyone knows everybody seems to have answered or explained TLD signed a new 3 year deal with KTM group to be the GAS GAS factory team . 6 months into that 3 year deal and Max lee resigns /walks out /pushed ? The KTM group cannot just bail on a 3 year deal without compensation etc as the team TLD would have made plans , employees etc. So what has happened some massive fallout between KTM group and TLD ? and about what Not one word from anybody Vlogs ,websites ,Moto journalists ,so called insiders. are they scared of upsetting Roger de Coster ?
KTM is finally falling the Chinese crap the terrible Quality control on even Austrian made bikes. Them buying two other brands one to steal their engine the other to add an extra brand and “team” to help KTMs win in every series they race. Having almost half the brands be really one ruins parody of any sport and it needs to end and now Ducati is coming to kill them because Ducati is mad about KTMs moves in sport bike racing. They are building dirt bikes purely to stick it to KTM they have openly said this.
I just don’t see the point of having Gas Gas at this point? Just drop Gas Gas and put JB and Ryder D on Huskys. ML’s point makes sense with Club MX though.
Gas gas and ktms so called money problems are just rumors and assumptions.they have had some reliability problems yes.are they restructuring the company.thats what big companies do.gas gas sales are still strong husky sales are good and ktm are still selling great especially in the off road sector.tld has no riders that can stay healthy.kaplan cycles sells hundreds of gas gas bikes.and he has invested huge in the brand.if it was going under he wouldn't invest so much
How is it a rumor of they themselves are reporting their losses this year?.... Their debt has risen by 89 percent according to reporting, and profits are down by over a 100 million euros..
Thats what they said about Danger boy and where is he now? with Star,, when its time to go Pro, you can throw that whole mini cycle contract shit out the window,, its about money now......
How does Malcom Stewart still have a factory ride at this point ? He’s literally achieved nothing his whole career apart from having the most crashes of any rider each season 🤦♂️
@@Upthebroncos310 of ever hate drop he’s ha on 450s with times where top riders are out through injury or get bad starts he still never won a supercross and has factory equipment and support ! He crashes out of nearly every race makes dumb decisions on the bike
@@Ozfreerider_adventures I didn’t say that part wasn’t true, he did win a 250 regional title and finished 3rd in the 450sx championship in 2022 so he has achieved something, just not alot, however there are worse riders that get factory rides. Christian Craig for example.
The KTM group don't give a shit about GasGas. They've purposely kept GasGas inferior to KTM and Husqvarna. They trashed the OEM Brembo brakes, No mapping switch, etc;
That was the business model from the beginning and they were very open about it. GasGas is their “more affordable” line with cheaper components, Husky is their middle of the road style brand with a bit better components and KTM is their “ready to race” line with more premium parts.
@@MichaelAMyers1957 it’s about 1-3k cheaper depending on which model. Not much less but still less. I use the term affordable loosely which is why I used quotation marks.
I know that there was talks of them going to gasgas, But allegedly the deegans have bought the facility for 2026 when haiden goes 450 with the help of chad reed and im sure bringing his son onto the team as well. So even if club does go to gasgas it would only be for 1 year and really wouldnt matter.
