In my opinion it is. Much louder than the Dunlop, better dirty sound and looks awesome. But that´s my opinion. If you like the Heil much more... enjoy :-).
@DEFLEPPFAN1994 no you do not, the sound from your guitar is basically put out a small speaker inside the talkbox and that sound comes out the tube and into your mouth so you can alter the sound, you do not need a mic and pa type setup but if you want to hear it at a loud volume and not quiet then yes you will.
@dingo91210 the guy in the video said there is a button which can mute the guitar sound, so if you want to play w/o the guitar you can use the mute feature and when you want both you can turn off the mute
I just picked up the Banshee 2 and started using it at practice today. It sounds fantastic, the only problem is when I turn my amp up loud enough to play with the band, it drowns out the sound of the talkbox. How can I fix this? Do I need a bigger speaker cabinet for the talkbox?
Nevermind at my last comment, I just realized he's singing into it. Usually when I use this I sing too without knowing...I think it's just natural to sing along for some reason though : P
The best use of a Talk Box was by Jeff Beck on the "Live with The Jan Hammer Group" album. But he got rid of it when he heard Peter Frampton use it. Ha!
no you dont ned a mic. I mean, you do if you want to make the talk box sound come out of an AMP to make it louder, but not if you just want to use it for fun or practice or whatever at a low level.
So - simple question....Does the original Banshee require two amps and the Banshee 2 only require one amp?? Is the quality of the sound effect the same between the original and part 2 or??
you can, but not while playing a show... you can practice as much as you like without mic-ing it... only thing is, the sound comes out of the tube, and into your mouth. nothing from your guitar amplifier... so you need a mic while playing a show, or with a band... i have the banshee (the first one) and it is truly brilliant.
Hey i just got my Rocktron Banshee talkbox and im having some trouble getting clean tones out of it that are clear for guitar. If i turn the gain all the way down its sorta clean but its extremely quiet even if i turn the volume up all the way on it, and using a microphone. The gain knob is extremely sensitive. The tone is clean but it sounds like it sorta has a very light distortion/fuzz. could someone answer and help me please??? thanks for your help
"vocal like sounds"....but does it allow you to do vowels? and words?theres other digitech pedals that include a cheaper emulation of a talkbox effect, but they are all prerecorded, doing sounds like "oh" and "yay"....why wouldnt he even try showing if the pedal could go "yeah you shook me" like jeff beck did live with a talkbox?
you dont NEED one unless like you're playing in a band or during shows....all the mic does is amplify the sound that comes out of the tube...so if you're playing by yourself you dont need one
im such a fuckin dumbass i bought the first banshee while the banshee 2 had already been out for a while...and now im afraid to get the new one cuz who knows if a banshee 3 is going to be made anytime soon
