I'm doing a documentary on portable rock art. Rock art in general. If you're a rockhound you might want to tune into this thing. I'm putting it out on Halloween, that's October 31st 2023.
I've been interested in this subject, rock art, for a good while now. I decided to do some research as a good rockhound might do and during my journey, I learned that not only is the topic of portable rock art itself extremely intriguing but the entire community/culture is equally as interesting if not more..
portable rock art is a controversial topic believe it or not... Well is it?
That's up for debate too in the documentary.
what is portable rock art?
who made rock art?
where can you find rock art?
why is portable rock art labeled with such a gay name?
Is rock art accepted by mainstream science?
If so what did they have to say?
Can you sell portable rock art?
where?
Is there a portable rock art black market and if so, are people getting bamboozled?
why Is rock hounding in general way cooler than any other hobby?
What's to be gained from the subject?
are there really faces in the rocks?
are there really Mastodons birds and other mammals carved into the rock?
how organized is the rockhound community in regards to rock art?
are there any exhibitions? gatherings? pow wow? If so where? If not why the hell not?
how much of these specimens are naturally created by mother Earth?
What's paradolia?
What's the definition of infallible?
how to navigate the truth in the subject
spiritual connections in rocks?
how old really do you think these bad boys are?
there's no way everyone can be right is there?
(spoiler alert No)
What's up with the arrowhead haters?
If you could have banged one of the spice girls which one would it have been? why and walk me through the experience please..
Is PRA actually carved out of quartz? are you sure?
If so then with what tool?
What's a pictograph? a petroglyph? a Geo glyph?
do you think I can get people to accept the term microlith, anthroglyoh, anthropolithics?
what where are our ancestors trying to tell us?
what connections are there with consciousness and ancient stones?
Clovis first? still? really?
I like my Dryas like I My women... younger
(That's not actually true I just thought it sounded funny)
what were our ancestors trying to tell us?
how much of a grasp do conventional institutions really have on our ancient past?
how to outwit a smart ass...
What's the Smithsonian said on the matter?
and tons of other questions I have begun to answer and intend on answering!
it is a Field of study dominated by people set in their rigid ways. rivalries, clashing, The inability to cohesively work towards a collectively aggregated goal as a community has hindered rock arts acceptance..
or has it?
there's another, slightly more sinister side to thisecondary purpose of the documentary that I plan on shedding light on also...
The portable rock art black market!
I'm here to dismiss rumors, call people out on their bullshit, tear it all down if I can while exposing some of the good down-to-earth characters personalities and people that I think merit a solid mention!
I'm just one guy but this community needs to be stronger. galvanized... united. I'd like to work towards that.
The documentary will be fun, informative slightly vulgar and real.
I welcome criticism
I'm probably less educated on this subject than most people. That being said, I see that as strength. My paradigm has not been premolded for me in any way and my opinions, thoughts and criticisms will ring true and free of presupposed ideological or political contamination.
lastly, with all that said, I welcome with open arms those who are far more versed in the subject matter to weigh in!
Love you all bust them biddies!
