Not really misleading: the key is the actual separation "room" if u will, as when he walks into the insulated but serparate area. Once u separate the room from the noise, the ambient noise is reduced, then if u place drywall over the insulation, there is no noise to bounce around. Sound moves through air, the insulation limits that greatly. Again, once the sound is limited, there is very little sound to bounce around except what u introduce in the space u are in. What my man is demonstrating is blocking external sound. And yes, it will actually sound like that in an insulated space, again, because he's blocking the outside noise. The only noise that will be is the noise u introduce in that room. The idea of double drywall isn't comparable, there is still an empty cavity for the sound behind the drywall for sound to resonate. The difference is sound resonating outside the room, vs sound resonating inside the room. It's ALWAYS best to control the outside sound first, which insulation does much better than double drywall and no insulation as well as insulation the various other benefits.
