If only dreamworks had simply thought of putting this short in theaters before the Peabody and Sherman movie, we could’ve gotten a full-length rocky and bullwinkle movie.
Not necessarily. For the R&B short, yes. But the "Phox The Box And The Lox" short was produced around 1999, so she was roughly 82 at the time that one was released.
Rocky and Bullwinkle will forever be a classic. Despite the fact they had different voice actors for this. They kept the characters personalities and all the creativity that is the divine spark that the classic is known for. They kept everything true to its show, characters, their personalities and the themes as well las the creativity all nailed down to a T. I will admit that at one time or another. I used to dream of flying in the air like Rocky while I'd say something that would be a fitting quote.
Yes I know. But if there was a new Rocky and Bullwinkle feature film from DreamWorks then I hope Mr. Peabody and Sherman would make cameos in it and so would Penny Peterson and her parents and Nell Finwick and Inspector Finwick Horse and George Ape Tookie Tookie Shep and Ursula with another version of her referred to as Fella. And still see the return of the cameos of Dudley Do-Right and Snidely Whiplash.
We love Rocky and Bullwinkle and Boris and Shasta and fearless leader and Mr big yeah because they are awesome and the best and the greatest and amazing and all ways wicked!!!!.
I can’t believe this rest in peace june foray she was my childhood From the voice of tweety bird from the voice of Ursula from the voice of rocky J, she will be remembered in my heart And Natasha rest in peace to her
Awesome I had no idea this existed until today and man I really do miss Rocky and Bullwinkle there is a new animated series released but I feel like it went on a bit too long with 4 episode plots usually uses two parts
This was great! So much better than the 2000 live action movie, in that, with one exception, they kept to the spirit of the original. What was the exception? Rocky recognized Boris.
6:29-- I rather expected to see the heads of some of Jay Ward's other creations up on that wall-- King Leonardo, Chumley, Waldo P. Wigglesworth, maybe that bear who was briefly part of the RCMP in one Dudley Do-Right episode.
I lived in Hollywood back in the 80s. I used to drive past the statue of moose on sunset every day driving to work at UCLA. I remember moose and squirrel from the 60s, watching the cartoons at my grandparents house. Later I moved to the San Fernando Valley and lived near where the narrator’s street, named after him is.
Huh, I never heard of Fractured Fairy Tales before and especially the short of "The Phox, The Box, & The Lox." I honestly didn't know that this was shown in front of Universal Pictures' adaptation of "Dudley Do-Right", and honestly for something made in 1999 it looks amazing and it looks very accurate to the limited animation of that era, kudos to the animation team behind the short.
This video compilation contains The 20TH Century Fox/ PDI-Dreamworks/Bullwinkle Studios/Dreamworks Animation Inc. 2014 “Rocky & Bullwinkle” short @ 0:01 and The Universal Cartoon Studios & Jay Ward Productions Inc. “Fractured Fairy Tales” cartoon titled “The Phox, The Box 📦 🦊 👨 and The Lox” @ 9:24.
Why did Rocky recognize Boris and Natasha? It was literally a joke in the 2000’s movie how no matter how many years passed that Rocky and Bullwinkle never recognize them or know their names

Tara strong voiced rocki, in the reboot, because the old one passed away 😢 I love the voice rules of the show, but I don’t really like Natasha’s new voice. I prefer the old one.
Just the Fractured Fairy Tales short that was shown in theaters with the 1999 live action film Dudley Do-Right and is part of the movie on DVD VHS and Blu-ray. The Rocky and Bullwinkle short was originally going to be shown in theaters with Mr. Peabody & Sherman and it was to be a test for a theatrical computer animated feature film with the characters. But it was dropped and was replaced with a stupid alien themed short called Almost Home which was to promote the movie Home. So the Rocky and Bullwinkle short is only available on the Blu-ray 3D disc of Mr. Peabody & Sherman
I am 66 and grew up w/ these guys. I didn't know this existed! Can someone please tell me exactly what I'm seeing? I understand it's June's last performance as Rocky, and the narrator is imitating Conrad, but who is doing all the other voices? Is it a computer simulation of the voices? They all sound so exact! Are there a lot of these shows? TIA
June Foray did Rocky Tom Kenny did Bullwinkle Robert Cait did Boris Lauri Fraser did Natasha Thomas Lennon did Fearless Leader and Robert Ben Garant did the narrator.
@@jonmeyer3076 thanks so much! But other than June, are these the original voices? They sound SO exact! Is this a series that I need to buy on dvd? I'm sorry for stupid questions. I'm old and have been out-of-touch w/ technology, for the most part, for the past two decades. Thanks, again
@@stangohr It was a short film made to show before the Peabody and Sherman movie. June Foray is the only original voice here, everyone else is a very spot on impression of the original cast.
That’s Robert Ben Garant narrating the short and he’s doing it in the style of William Conrad the original narrator for the old Rocky and Bullwinkle show
I’m sorry but we aren’t going to talk about Tom Kenny’s almost unrecognizable voice work as Bullwinkle?! I have heard Tom’s regular and cartoonish speaking voices and he has never done a voice that divorced from anything he’s voiced prior. Great work Tom! 👍
