Hi I’m James and for the past five months I have been experiencing debilitating pain, fatigue, temperature, dysregulation, cognitive symptoms, weakness and extremities, and nausea/vomiting. The triggering event for this was testosterone shots. So far in the dozens of tests and 13 doctors I’ve seen, the only thing they can point to is a week positive for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Next I’m heading to Mayo clinic to see if there is a connection. In the meantime, I am seeking expert advice on the long-term effects of Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Has any one out there experienced anything like this? #medicalmystery #rockymountainspottedfever #tickillness #RMSF

I'm about 6 weeks in with MANY of the same symptoms you have. The pain, centralized in the joints is the worst. Massive headaches, neck pain, and sporadic nausea/vomiting. Tested positive for RMSF 9 weeks ago and a round of doxycycline appears to have taken care of the infection. The fatigue is unbelievable and just hits very suddenly but I also can't sleep! I'm also type II diabetic, but it's well controlled. No weight issues. My doc has run and is still running every test he can think of. I've already had enough imaging studies in the past 2 weeks that I should be glowing in the dark. Cancer tests have all come back negative so far. ANA for Lupus was also negative. Negative for RA as well. I'm going to an immunologist next week even though my primary has done almost everything and tested for everything that the specialist will do. Memory issues are just starting for me. I'm 57 years old and have never had any major health issues in my entire life. Pain control is my main problem at the moment. Heavy doses of percoset 10mg t.i.d. helps a little, but when it wears off, the pain will spike from a 3 to a 9 (and more often lately a 10) on the scale within minutes. It's scary as hell and nobody has any clue so far. It's bad enough that I've considered a bullet on more than one occasion in the past week just to end the pain! It appears to be getting progressively worse every few days. Now I have to use a walker to cover even the shortest distance. Having to force myself to eat as well, but at least I can still tolerate vitamins so deficiencies aren't an issue...yet. My weight has started crashing in the past 3 weeks with a net loss of 22 pounds even though I'm still eating and eating well. I'm also documenting everything I take in as far as food, medications etc. Sorry, I'm rambling now. It's getting harder to keep my thoughts in order. I have to stop now even this is wearing me out. If you see this, please give me an update as it's been three months since you posted this video. Do you have ANY answers yet?? p.s. On as much of a humorous note as I can manage, where's Dr. House when you need him???
