I *knew* I'd seen a version where he took off *two* pairs of sunglasses in succession (leaving the ones underneath) whereas most of the performances there's only one pair of sunglasses removed. An epic moment: I remember how I laughed the first time I saw it.
Toppers !!!! El cantante es el clon de mi apreciado y querido Fernanduco Don Fausto Morales aka El "Guinda" .Salud y Vida Pa'lante !!! Cheers and Life On !!!
First heard this on the Muppet Show when they and they had 'The Stars of Star Wars' on in 1980. I had audio taped the show so I've listened to it several times as a kid. I always thought it was a made up song until a few years ago when I found out it was an actual song. I guess if this version was popular at the time it's probably why they used the song.
I wonder how many times they had to practice the stunt where "Rocky Sharpe" leaps into the arms of the other two male singers - and I wonder how many times they dropped him before they got the timing right ;-)
