Good topic. Just I add few points Based on my stay in USA for 15 years and now in India. Lot of ground work is required before coming to USA, to make your stay cheaper and comfortable in USA. Several Indian communities/ senior students ready to help (at least lip service) to the 1st comers/freshers. 1. Plastic bucket and mug can be purchased in any wall mart shop or several Vietnam/Chinese shops. 2. Normally go to bus stand and go to college. Else Buy a bicycle and go to college. Five six miles by bycycle is not a big issue. 3. Accommodation: Nothing is free, you need to pay some money. Now public media and other indian students can help. 4. Tap water is generally OK for drinking in several cities. During cyclone time you must use bottle water. Other wise tap water id safe to take. 5. Jet lag depending on persons life style. For students, it is not a big issue. 6. Ready to eat by oven heating should be OK and available in sevral american stores, for urgent purpose. Several vegetarian people live in USA. Not a big issue. 7. I don't think except hospitals rest of the places don't need appointment. may be one hour or few minutes delay at some places. 8. Driving license in Texas/any state can be taken from any center. So go to any DL center, which have less rush. 9. Financially you should be prepared.

i planned to search job in America, now i changed my mind . in India if u get 10 - 20 lack package its enough. we can live happy life here. 🙏

India is very comfortable nowadays. In any south metro city, all payments through UPI/Paytm/Phonpe. Swiggy for food. Blinkit/Zepto/Dunzo for groceries. Ola/Uber for car. Urban cleaners for emergency cleaning. Amazon delivery at Watchman if you are in an apartment. Support system like parents in villages in India where u can visit for festivals. You get housekeeping ladies and cooks if you are too busy. Only stressor is traffic if you are earning decently...

Good to see you here - I am also a Telugu guy and started a RU-vid channel - the key differences and big picture for me are - Open Vs Closed cultures and Individualistic Cultures Vs Collective cultures Developed nations vs Developing nations - that is how I tried to look at every aspect of life when I came here in 2010. I cannot correlate with most of this - as I came 35 years with family and I have two kids - so mostly I managed well as a team. Now I became a Citizen in 2022. Agree - Transport is a flop show in this country - they failed miserably. Appointments are a long way but that is a part of scheduled living. We have to look at the structure as a whole - I have shared my journey after seeing all your concerns on these RU-vid - ones you are here - you are on your own - that is for sure.

That is why GATE exam is the best option. I studied M.Tech in IISc Bangalore and got placed in a top company. Govt provides stipend of Rs. 12400 per month. While our expenses here are bare minimum, we are actually earning and saving. I also traveled to USA on Job requirements later. Just for the sake of education there is no need to travel, as long as you are able to get a good seat in India! Of course for those who can't make it in India, the difficulties you mentioned may be unavoidable. I recommend GATE exam for one and all engineers! Jai Bharat. Regards

Best option is to try for onsite opportunity from India while working for TCS, Infosys, etc. Then if you have talent get a local job. Else enjoy for 3 to 6 years and save some money to come back to India. Going to US as a student is too risky because after spending so much money there is no guarantee that you will get a job there or visa there.
