Despite not being a huge fan of Rod Stewart, I'd be lying if I didn't say some of his songs resonate with me, especially with memories of growing up during the greatest decade, the 80s. This is one of those songs that get stuck in your head regardless of whether you liked it or not. Anyone who grew up in the same decade knows what I'm talking about.

It’s all about the melody in this song - when he starts the first verse in major - it’s a hook , drawing the listener in, then the progression moves to minor for the chorus. Great song, even though I like his scaled down approach from the 1970’s more . His 80’s material was a bit more commercial for my taste, but that’s where the money is , and can’t blame him for wanting to get paid .

My Dad used to play the Body Wishes album in the car all the time and now in my 40's, it is still one of my personal favourite albums that has stayed with me. I've been following Sir Rod Stewart for 58 years & I never get sick of listening to his delightful songs. In fact Rod cheers me up when I'm feeling down. My first concert I saw Rod at The Horden Pavilion in Sydney I was 15years old, my girlfriend & I waited backstage till 4am to catch a glimpse of Rod & our wish came true when security finally let us in Rod's Backstage Room to meet him, and OMG our hearts melted as we raved on about how much we loved & we were his biggest fan. I will never forget how gracious Rod made myself & girlfriend feel. I'll be at Rod's upcoming Concert in March 2022, can't wait.
