Rod is great, but there's no denying Sweet Caroline sounded awful unfortunately. He should have told the BBC to shove it and done one of his own classics.
This man deserves credit for sticking it out since the 60s when Long John Baldry “ invented” him. He is a genuine human being, liking what he does for a living, not doing it for the money. I used to drink with him in Manchester between sets at the original Twisted Wheel, and has not really changed since then ( lifestyle excepted!) A genuine bloke that is ageing like many of us. Well done Sir Rod, the people who pass negative comments don’t understand, talent, popularity, real humans, and ageing. Well done.

Rod Stewart is an incredible rock star. While many have difficulty moving about in their older years, he's out there, performing at nearly 80 years of age.
I remember watching this 6 months ago with so much love for our Queen and pride for our amazing country. Now so much has changed. Our beloved Queen has left us and our country is in an utter mess.

Can't get enough from this clip, felt so good to see Rod again! I felt his happines, my haert felt with him, made me so emotional, had to cry. It made me feel so great! Have seen him twice in the Netherlands, in the great 70ties! In the most beaytifull time of my life, when I was still in my twenties! Now I'll be 69 in december. Il still listen to that music! Seems strange Rod Stewart singing sweet times never tasted so good and it must be a first a Scot singing those words albeit in London. so good so good. lol Sorry but Rod Stewart should not of been forced to sing that. It did not suit his iconic voice one bit
Truly awful. I’ve heard karaoke singers knocking out Baby Jane who would win a Grammy compared to this awful performance from Rod . No amount of backing singers and yelping from Rod can cover up his voice has gone and don’t get me started on his Sweet Caroline . Charles’s disinterest reflects most of us
Great to see at least someone else has got some brain cells as oppose the incredible fawning and tone-deaf DM readers on here praising terrible singing. Great to see eery one singling along together as that song when sung by the master Neil Diamond, who sadly can't due to Parkinson's' Disease and Stewart certainly did not do him proud - come on every one he WAS awful !!
