I've been with you for 54 years now and you still sing to my soul. Some how every new song you give us is just right for the time. This is one of my favorite recordings here on RU-vid. There is little personal feeling anymore. Singers are part of a combine. Rod loves Dylan and Sam Cooke and Otis Redding. They are the wellsprings of his whole approach. He is great on record and even greater live, as this show attests. Yet he remains humble, a regular bloke. Amazing.

Never seen this video before, but ALWAYS loved Rod Stewart with his gorgeous husky voice and crazy clothes - ever since ‘ Every Picture Tells a Story ‘ and Maggie May which was THE song of my first few weeks at university in 1971( !!!! ) . ‘ Maggie May ‘ was of course originally on the B side of the record !! Had a huge poster of Rod in a crazy pink satin suit on my Hall of Residence wall for my entire first year ! Those were the days !!!
