Rod sings with his daughter and her band mate from the local Nashville band The Sisterhood. The song also includes a entertaining but quick drum solo and Violin solo with some tap dancing all by his beautiful backing group of musicians.
Rod was the music I was listening to when I was in my 20s. My husband has terminal cancer and he emailed me the phrase "have I told you lately that I love you." He and I will always be forever young when I hear this song. Keep on singing Rod .
I’m so sorry to hear of ur husband illness may the payer of your blessing heal him from cancer amen. I know what ur going through I had breast cancer 11 years ago god heal me and then in 2020 I almost died of Covid , then in august of 22 I had a mild heart attack prayer is healing may the lord heal ur husband, and my sister and my nurse that has cancer right now.
I paid $365 per ticket to take my son to Rods concert in Atlanta to be on the front row! He does not let you down EVER! IVE GOT an original Faces album and he's been number 1 in my book for 50 years!
My dear friend Anton loved this song so much. He always said wanted to be forever young and dies before getting old. He passed away in 2014 at the ripe age of 44. Rest in Peace brother. You will always be forever young
I've seen Rod in Vancouver twice and love him dearly right from the Faces Day's. My son's 1st concert at the Commodore in 99, he met him sneaking in up the stairs. Rod winked , shook his hand & gave him his name tag & stood the test of the way. ❤ You made my 18 yr old son's after graduation night.
Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel, better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will put a smile on your face..😊😊😊

@hectorc the most ignorant comment. The two women are best friends, so if two women are best friends they are automatically lesbians in your book? FYI both women are good friends and both are married to MEN and have kids.
Face it--the songs get to you. For whatever the reason they SPEAK to you. As a guy some of his songs get to me; guys can have feelings too--it's an ex-fiancee who haunts me.
Just saw this. Love, love, love this song. Had it dedicated to my children at my wedding reception 14yrs ago. They were teenagers by then. This song would've been great if his daughter could sing.
Been to one concert with Rod Stewart. Just couldn't imagine how cool it would be to have one of your children to sing and perform with. Always loved this song.
Right? This is my favorite song of all of his! My biological father was a semi famous musician in the DC & southern areas & in England called Bobbie Howard of The British Walkers, AKA Mr. Dynamite in England ...he has no idea I’m his kid & I was given up for adoption. (I learned this a year ago.) I have a full blood brother who is, according to our half brother, a natural guitarist! He had gone to see out father in concert & instead of having a great moment like this, our father just wanted nothing to do with him. (Funny...neither does our mother want anything to do with me, the only kid she gave up...I think because she got a marriage proposal from our father’s friend.) Too bad...they really both could’ve had a great moment like this! I feel bad for my brother who is named after our father. I will never meet him, unfortunately. I wish I had inherited some of their music or singing abilities. Somehow we are related to Peggy Lee...supposedly she’s a cousin! She seems to be a much nicer person than either biological parent. Thank goodness I was adopted!
Kept fit for the stage. It’s not easy to carry off a show and still enjoy playing/ singing if you don’t. Kudos to Sir Rod for continuing to entertain so many. 😊
My Irish twin brother Eddie passed away from pancreatic cancer in 1994 at 33. He is still taking care of his PIA sister 29; years later... he lived his life as wanted &: it was quite a life...he will be forever young always amazing 😢❤
I’ve seen Rod twice in concert. He puts on an amazing show. I remember in High School when my alarm Clock Radio would go off every morning. The radio station played Maggie May at the same time every day.
Saw him in Brussels, Belgium YEARS ago, at the Forest National. My FINAL concert in Belgium; Magical. Left 2-3 days later. SAD. Loved that place, really loved Europe & the "Euro Vibe".
A true icon whom we all listened to growing up in our teen years. This video is priceless to see the enjoyment of Rod singing with his daughter on stage. What a performance!!
On my husband’s last holiday we seen Rod live at Caesar’s Palace. Rod interacted with him when he shouted for Rod to do Cindy Incidentally. He said the American’s don’t know that one but the Belfast boys are in and my Hubbie David shouted back to him we are so do Penny Arcade. Rod is a big Celtic fan and Penny Arcade is their rivals Glasgow Rangers song. Rod roared with laughter. By coincidence we played Dylan’s Forever Young at David’s funeral. He was 61 when he passed but kept his sense of humour through heart disease, a leg amputation and kidney failure. He was known as Peter Pan by us because he always kept that endearing zest for life that the young have.
So sorry for your loss. Have you noticed how many people are SO VERY MOVED by Rod Stewart songs? And in response to this one video? (Bob Dylan wrote/perf this, but I think Rod owns it. I have to check out something about a German synth-pop band Alphaville who also does this same titled song.)
I'm 61 year's old and believe me I've seen every good rock bands concerts grew going to every concert in Colorado from Red Rocks amphitheater to fiddlers green and the old Oddesy theater. I saw Rod Stewart in March of 78 at the Denver Coliseum one of they best concerts I've ever see absolutely love Rod Stewart
True that is. Years ago a boyfriend of my best friend told me that out of all the concert's he had attended the Rod Stewart concert was without question the best.
Saw Rod in person @ The Inglewood Forum (Southern California) 4 rows from the stage. He performed a extraordinary concert.Im the only one in our "Squad" that remembers ! The other ones smoked to much weed and mescaline.I was the desitnated driver (always). The wonderful 80"s
I saw a Rod Stewart concert back in the day when she was a little girl and he brought her out for this song. He opened the show by kicking footballs ( soccer) waaay out into the audience. One of the best shows ever
When your a legend who doesn’t need to stand center stage with the spotlights focused only on him! It seems to have been an awesome evening for everyone in the audience and on the stage! Bravo 🏴
The Legend Rod stewart..amazing the king in concert.Performer.. unfaded..forever young .the Drummer are amazing. too..did well .also the back up.dancer&singer.. Rod stewart forever young,.🕺🎶🎼✨🏆❤️🍀👏👏👏 マリ
Truly Sorry for your loss. I suspect happy memories, yet sad ones? Have you noticed how certain Rod Stewart songs can be some rather heart wrenching tunes? He's also "Blue Eyed Soul"; That song "I Don't Want To Talk About It", esp. when he did it w/Amy Belle really tears into me, reminding me of what I lost.
GREAT! Full Kudos to the Drummers! Primary drummer knocked me out, synchro was fantastic. Wonderful work all of you! Great message Mr. Rod Stewart, nicely exemplified with your daughter!

😇💜 I was in highschool, and a friend of mine, L 💜 VED Rod Stewart, and that's when I first heard his music 🎶in around the year 1978 or so.🤗💜 He looks AMAZING for his age, and he still has it.🤗💜 His daughter is so BEAUTIFUL, and how FUN, to be able to sing, on stage with her Dad.🎙️🎶🎵🤗💜 Thank YOU Rod Stewart, for this AMAZING performance.🤗💜
Sir Rod, I dedicated your song to my daughter, Darcey and my nephew, Bryan, who is more like my son. I even sang it to both of them at the top of my lungs!! I've always remind them of this song, that addresses not only bringing what we wish for our children - only the nest. Only a parent could have written this song, with such enthusiasm, PERFECT LYRICS that are heaven sent, and I can feel Rod's feelings about raising children. This song MEANS THE WORLD'S TO ME!! Thank you, Sir Rod Stewart!!
DARCEY DAGLIO AND BRYAN RIDING, I HOPE YOU BOTH SEE THE TEXT ABOUT THIS SONG, WHICH WAS HIGHLIGHTER - NOW 3 MONTHS AGO!! IT'S STILL HERE, ON YOU TUBE, FOR YOU GUYS TO SEE!! SAMANTHA, I HOPE YOU SEE THIS AS WELL, AND TELL BRYAN ABOUT IT!! KYLE, YOU DO THE SAME FOR DARCEY, PLEASE!
One of the few things I've seen in life, joyful tears❤❤ I love seeing that, how much love the father has for his daughter and visa versa . What a love God graces us with huh ? 🕊️🕊️🕊️✨✨ Children❤ I know for me it was my greatest miracle🌟🕊️
I’m aging faster than Rod Maggie May is the first song of his I ever herd Maggie is what I named my first daughter because I loved Rod so much, still do.
Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel, better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will put a smile on your face..😊😊

First saw Rod in 1975 with Faces. First knew that he was the best in the business after a 1977 concert. Through the years, I have traveled untold miles and seen him EVERY chance I got. Put up with a lot of nay sayers and downright vulgar attitudes toward him but have remained 100% loyal. The best musical entertainer in the world!! Was at this concert in fact.

I raised 4 great beautiful children and I would play this song and sing it to all of them ,I love my children unconditionally, they weren't mommas babies there papa's babies to this day this song makes me cry, there all grown now with there own family's ,what I would give to have them back, I do have the pleasure of singing it too my grandkids, still makes me cry,I would give any thing to be able to do what Rod Stewart is doing ,this is so beautiful he's so lucky, this is one of the greatest songs ever pened to paper this and Harry Chapman's cat's in the cradle
An amazing thing about Rod, he has a hobby as a model railroader. He even takes a truckload of stuff with him on tour to work on while he's in a place.
@@debbieminton9589 he is a fascinating person. There’s a hobby magazine called Model Railroader that has done several feature articles on Rod and his passion for model railroading, and photos of the massive model railroad HE has built. Yes, he has done all the work himself.
I have been lucky to see him in concert twice! Orlando & Tampa! He was great in box! But really great in the round up and close. Women actually pulled off their underwear & bras and he hung them from his instrument the rest of the concert kicking volleyballs back and forth in the audience it was really an amazing concert! As good as Joe Cocker back in the day! I have done a lot of concerts back in my days. Some good ones were Rod Stewart, Bon Jovie, & Chubby Checker if you like sweat slung all over you as he did the twist a lot! Elton John was good!
Que hermoso!!!! Realmente maravilloso!!!! 😘❤️
Wow!! 58 year old female. Long time fan of Rod. Last time I saw Rod was on 1996 in the Round at the Palace. My sweatshirt is in shreds. I am homeless and need a new shirt. Listen to Rod on U Tube every night. A lot of memories. Would love to see him again. Love you forever Rod!! .r
Dynamic as ever Rob I saw you live years ago it was as energetic as an ever ready battery and you’re still going with the same energy a living example of the song Forever Young
