@robsmith7664 Well, I saw him 3 times in Raleigh, NC. Last time I saw him was in second row seat. It was a great show. Great night period. Loved him them, his music and energy. Great is all.
@@RonnieDrayton-in5ie that wasn't the question. We've all dealt with that kind of thing. Some of us numerous times. It's a part of life. Sometimes ya hit, and sometimes ya miss.
Love this song and Rod Stewart!! He's one of the best male singers there is!! No one can sing like Rod. We saw him in concert several years ago in Houston, Texas. He was excellent!! We loved him!! I have been a fan of Rod Stewart since the 70's. xoxo
Back in the late 80s. My uncle met a lady who worked for Rod Stewart. She said he was an amazing guy. Millionaire. She said she’s never met someone like him. Shoutout to Rod. ❤❤❤
This was one of my most favorite songs in my teenage. Now I am 50 plus and the song still puts a smile on me and I want to dance along with Rod Stewart ❤😊
Smiling, heart soaring, I’m 56, he might have been that age in this video idk. To think it was ever said that they (Rod, Mick, Steven) wouldn’t be showing the world a good turn at the age they grace now. Fools on us - enjoy artists!
Haha, same here, it's one of my favourite songs. It's funny to hear him lamenting about his lack of GFs. The opposite is true, in real life he had no shortage of GFs & wives! I have covered a few of his songs, but so far I'm not brave enough to cover his "risque" songs for fear of giving the wrong impression about me. I'm actually a "goody-two-shoes 😁Hmm.. I might try covering "Da ya think I'm sexy"!!

Some guys have all the luck Some guys have all the pain Some guys get all the breaks Some guys do nothing but complain Alone in a crowd on a bus after working, I'm dreaming The guy next to me has a girl in his arms, my arms are empty How does it feel when the girl next to you says she loves you? Seems so unfair when there's love everywhere but there's none for me Some guys have all the luck Some guys have all the pain Some guys get all the breaks Some guys do nothing but complain Woo woo woo Woo woo woo Someone to take on a walk by the lake Lord, let it be me Someone who's shy, someone who'd cry at sad movies I know I would die if I ever found out she was foolin' me You're just a dream, and as real as it seems, I ain't that lucky Some guys have all the luck Some guys have all the pain Some guys get all the breaks Some guys do nothing but complain All of my friends have a ring on their finger, they have someone Someone to care for them, it ain't fair, I got no one The car overheated, I called up and pleaded, there's help on the way I called you collect, you didn't accept, you had nothing to say Some guys have all the luck Some guys have all the pain Some guys get all the breaks Some guys do nothing but complain But if you were here with me I'd feel so happy, I could cry You are so dear to me I just can't let you say goodbye Woo woo woo, Woo woo woo Woo woo woo, Woo woo woo Woo woo woo, Woo woo woo Woo woo woo, Woo woo woo Woo woo woo, Woo woo woo Woo woo woo, Woo woo woo Woo woo woo, Woo woo woo
The beautiful thing about this song is Rod Stewart is one of those guys with all the luck, and ladies, and good looks, and talent. Yet, here he is recognizing us less than fortunate men who really see and feel that some guys have all the luck. We just want a little slice of the pie. Thanks Rod for recognizing us!
Even when it would appear that our luck would be diminishing y woman would not be the first thing to desire but a cane y a gallon of malox y a decent will. Hahahaha 😆.
1984 was a good year for me. I turned 21 that year and I got so drunk, I didn't remember getting home. And, I definitely don't remember peeing on myself either, but I did and I'm glad I had a good friend to bring me home and then came back the next day to see how I was doing. I thought I shouldn't mention the " accident" I had on myself, but he already knew about it, lol!!! Damn, I miss those days, I really do. Sigh.🫤😢😊
Totally agreed to this commnet. Music today can take 1hr to make, songs like this take time, skill, imagination, practice and much more to make. Reply yes or no if u agree or not.
@@jpal754 Lived there for a while, 80's. About like US, Calif., 'cept sorta like British, and some Scottish accents. Cool, very interesting. Music, the same back then. British invasion was all over, I guess.😂
Rod Stewart Never Goes Out Of Style. Good Old Rod Stewart. Always In Style. Fashionably Sir Rod Stewart One Of The World's Greatest Musicians Ever. Every Song By Sir Rod Stewart Is An Evergreen Classic Melody Worth Cherishing Forever. His Music Is Pure Blissful Joy and Pleasure To Listen To. We Love Rod Stewart. Musical Genius Extraordinaire.
Rod Stewart was my grandma's absolute favorite, 7 years ago today (February 15th, 2014) was when my grandma took her last breath, & my last memory of her was so heartbreaking since she was so sick & so medicated up. Every year for her birthday as well as the anniversary I play Rod Stewart. I love & miss you so much, grandma 😥

@@mariamalbroux3356 Everyone now has a laptop and a so called "smart" phone, but the music and dance beats of the 80's are way above the stupid club music of the 2000s+
I know what you mean. However, relationships seem hard work. Being single you can do what you like and no one to answer too. You have more money as well!!
We live in a culture where people want results, people want to be impressed on the very first try, and people will dismiss a singer or a band if one of their songs does not catch their attention greatly. Today's songs have to have something sexy asf or something to say OMG to. Back then, people would listen to the radio, listen to songs from beginning to end, developing a love for even the slow songs. Today's music has to be sensational from the start, or people will tune out. Things will only get worse as record companies will demand more purchases more listeners that will buy, buy, buy those songs.
I can’t. I don’t know how we sunk so low where songs are all about showing off how much money you pretend to have and how many people you pretend to have hurt/ killed/ etc.
@@joebeta1837 I would agree that style is more important than substance these days but I wouldn’t call today’s music sensational by any means. Almost everyone and every song sounds the same. Same beats, same processed sound & same production. Also very few melodies, catchy hooks and original sounding singers make this a BORING time for Pop/Rock music.
you're right, I am from 1994 and i love 70 and 80,s music. The music from this time doesn't even impress me. I think i was meant to grow up hearing this kind of music. Sir Rod Steward, Chris norman, Billy joel and so on!
Great point Patricia - a look and sound all Rod's own. A revelation when Rod 'hit.' Fixture on campus's worldwide. The word iconic often overused - but so true in Rod's case.

Bueno, tengo que concordar contigo en que es BUENISIMO, el mejor no se, pero uno de los mejores, sin dudas. Me encantan, el y su musica, mega idolo 🤩🤘🏻
Outstanding observation&opinions speed king ,I'm a colored guy and also have found memories of a kinder gentler time despite the ruling classes use of race and social status to keep us divided along those lines and a untold number of other things rod Stewart was and is a great artist and decent human being not immune to the pain, loss, joy and victory of this life and lucky him for mounting the moment and using his abundant gifts to share what us and make us all better for the sharing.yeah speed king who would imagined that one day someone would create a device ( the smart phone) so star trek like that you could relive your fondest memories from your distant youth (with godspeed)and relive them often comforting us and and relishing in the wondrous times that is the meaning of beauty is as beauty does hats off rod Stewart
I was born in 77 so i was an 80s kid and remember they played this song on the radio and when Mtv use to be cool!! Ahh the 80s! When times were simple fun and care free! Rock n Roll everyone!
I was born in 1970, listening to this song right in the ripe year of my teenage year (1984-1985). Believe me, I still could feel the way I felt back then whenever I close my eyes listening to this song again
Born in ‘71, graduated ‘89. Being in school in the 80’s was the best of times! No matter what genre you “belonged” to, you appreciated all music! Good times!
